there are some Republicans and Republican-leading independents who will vote for Talarico over Paxton. If Paxton wins the primary, the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the G.O.P. super PACs will be forced to spend gobs of money to protect a state Trump won by double digits in 2024.

I think Texas still doesnt have enough low T men that would vote Talarico over Paxtom. Paxton iks a piece of crap but he's still cool. Talarico is just such a gay little nerd I just cant see Mexicans and other macho type men voting for that weak of a guy.

" Cornyn has been a reliable conservative vote for 20 years"

Don't just quote his ads. Cornyn has been a lot like Graham, a sycophant when he is up for election but otherwise about as trustworthy as a used-car salesman.

I already posted a number of serious criticisms conservatives have with him. He's the Snake in Snake Oil.

Paxton
LOL

So are you opposed to voters being able to choose the GOP nominee, or are you just that far up Cornyn's ass?

Apparently you & Kamala are on the Paxton train
Why do Dems want Paxton to win the primary?

You won't answer the question, hmm?

I want a Republican majority in the senate and will vote that way. You?

I want the voters to be heard, and am confident any Republican is better than any Democrat.

You?

No, Paxton isn't better than Vornyn

That's not my point.

FWIW,I hate we had to choose between these two, but I meant what I said. Any Republican is better than any Democrat, and in this runoff I will trust the voters.

Completely reject anyone selling the idea that scare tactics should decide your vote.

I'm laughing because I don't believe your numbers are nearly that big. And I think these primaries have proven you guys aren't nearly as powerful as you perceive. Grievance and identity politics will take you only so far.

But you're correct it may be enough to lose an election for conservatives given the thin margins. The question is are normal, decent conservatives going to allow the fringe minority who hold disgusting beliefs to take over the party in the same vein the Dems did in 2020? I suspect the answer to that is no. There are too many honest decent Christians in the party who finds Fuentes unchristian white supremacist views disgusting and will not go down that road of racist identity politics. I'm one of them. If the Dems have taught us anything, it is that form of politics is a recipe for disaster.

I'd never vote for a groyper.

Did you actually look at the methodology yourself, or are you just doing that thing where you pretend it's fake because you don't want it to be true?

And there's hardly anything Christian about the GOP as it stands today. You have very few honest people in office, the rest are greedy opportunists who've traded their constituents' interests to lobbyists.

No I didn't review the methodology of the survey listed. While I doubt the numbers are that high, that really wasn't relevant to my larger point.

Assuming what he's saying is true, he's essentially assuming the republicans will do the same thing as the democrats in 2020 and cede control to his tiny, fringe minority. And I can tell you with certainty - that's not going to happen. As I said, unlike the godless Dems, there are too many good conservatives out there that don't buy into the whiny grievance evil rhetoric of the little, white racist gay "catholic." The moral people won't allow that to happen.

Sure every human institution is fallible, a product of our fallen world. But the planks of the Republican Party are not based, like Fuentes's beliefs. They're not racist and immoral like Fuentes. And therein lies the difference.

The next time Fuentes is right in his predictions will be the first time.

Idk what you're talking about. No one hates women, Jews, or other races.

Fuentes does. We've been over this. Again:

1) Regarding women/impotence, he admitted to having an "open hatred of women." He has stated that women's rights should be "taken away," advocated for stripping women of the right to vote, and argued that women should be "banned from public life." And this isn't just restricted to liberal women, but all women. He has described himself as "involuntarily celibate" and said he doesn't date, or have a desire to date. In other words, sounds gay.

2) Regarding blacks, he has said that "Blacks need to be in prison for the most part," and regularly uses the "n" word to describe them.

3) Regarding Jews, he's denied many aspects of the Holocaust, including questioning whether it actually occurred, sympathized with the Nazis, and has suggested a Jewish cabal runs our country.

So, yeah, Fuentes does hate women and other races, including the Jews most of all.

I am sure you try to explain all of these comments away as Fuentes merely "kidding" or lying to be provocative? Amiright?

Anyone that thinks a party that subscribes to these beliefs is going to win an election anytime soon is not living in reality.

It's just edgy humor, it's not for everyone. The older folks have the most trouble understanding it. How can someone be racist and be friends with black and brown people? If I hate blacks I sure as hell wouldn't hang around them or listen to their music.

I get that you want to dismiss what I said by calling it "Ben Shapiro talking points," but that doesn't actually address anything I wrote. These are Fuentes' own recorded statements. If you think any of the quotes are fake, point out which one.

You're saying all of this is just "edgy humor." Okay then tell me what his real positions are. Does he actually respect women, Black people, and Jewish people, or are those comments the "jokes"? How do you tell the difference?

If he says something extreme, is that the joke?

If he says something moderate, is that the joke?

If he tells his audience to vote Democrat, was that also a joke? Or was he serious?

You can't have it both ways. If everything is "just humor," then nothing he says means anything. And if some of it does reflect his real beliefs, then you need to explain which parts and how you know.

Right now, your position boils down to:

"Ignore what he says; trust what I think he secretly means."

That's not an argument.

You're regurgitating Ben Shapiro talking points.

Candace for one.

Rule one- never listen to a woman speak politics!

That's foolish. There are some women who speak intelligently on politics. In recent decades that included the likes of Margaret Thatcher & Phyllis Schlafly. These are two women wise people listened to and tools ignored or mocked. I don't know if any current female political commentators are on that level but there are some worth listening to: Dana Perino and Erika Kirk are two examples.

As with men who speak out politically, the listener must use discernment and intelligence. There are far too many hucksters, charlatans, demagogues, liars, & crooks that should be avoided. Yes, that includes Candace but also Tucker, Nick, and others. It helps to have a moral foundation and clear understanding of politics, economics, & history as a foundation to filter out the trash.

The Dems often act like they hate lots of people:

-Jews: supporting Hamas, Iran, and every other terrorist group over Israel, applauding attacks on Jews, openly advocating putting Jews in camps (Galindo in SA)
-blacks: essentially arguing that blacks are too stupid to show an ID when they vote, refusing to punish violent criminals when blacks are too often the victims, DEI racism (they think blacks cannot achieve anything without help from the Dems), and many more examples
-Trump & his supporters: TDS is widespread on the Left and is deranged
-Christians: Dems across the country (& their ideological allies everywhere) often target Christians for attacks, violence, reduced freedom, etc

And many others. Basically, they hate anyone who thinks differently.

JD- Rumor has it that JD Vance doesn't want to run in 2028, but Fuentes wouldn't vote for Vance because of his connections with Peter Thiel, not his wife. I wouldn't vote Vance either, nor Rubio.

You're giving a lot of benefit of the doubt to someone whose "jokes" consistently target specific people groups in a negative way. Calling something a joke doesn't excuse it, especially when the punchline is that a whole group is dangerous, inferior, or should be treated differently. Repeating that kind of rhetoric, even with a smile, normalizes it.

If someone regularly "jokes" about Black people being criminals or frames Jews as enemies (even with qualifiers), that's not just exaggeration; it's signaling a worldview. Smiling while saying something ugly doesn't make it harmless, it just makes it easier to slip past criticism. People use humor all the time to launder views they know wouldn't sound acceptable if said directly.

As for Vance, Nick Fuentes literally called Vance a "race traitor" and used a racial slur ("jeet") about his wife. Is that also a joke? Or does he actually believe Vance is a "race traitor" because of who he married? Because you can't have it both ways. If every time he says something extreme it's "just a joke," but the message consistently lines up with the same worldview - anti-interracial marriage, hostility toward non-white groups - then it stops looking like humor and starts looking like he means it.

And this one is especially hard to wave away. There's no exaggeration here, no absurd punchline. It's a straightforward insult rooted in race. Even JD Vance himself treated it as serious, calling it out as racist attack - not sarcasm, not edgy humor. So again: if your defense is "pay attention to tone," point to the joke. What's the punchline?

BTW - proud to say I've never voted Democrat in any state or national election in my 30 plus years of voting. Anyone who would needs to consider they may not actually be conservative.

It's not edgy, it's bigotry. There is nothing funny about such open bigotry and no one making such statements can be credibly mistaken for a comedian.

Adult male talking about bigotry LMAO. And you guys accuse us of being democrats

What is funny about this critique is your hero is a admitted incel, who won't marry because no woman finds any redeeming quality in him, or he is more than likely gay.

I would submit that in light of this fact, you have forfeited your ability to complain about conservative masculinity.
