Yes after her death and denying her last wish or even that she said it. And Trump harshly criticized Ginsburg in 2016 for calling him a "faker" in interviews, demanding she apologize and suggesting she resign, calling her comments "highly inappropriate" and "a disgrace to the court".
Now I admit that what he said in 2016 is not near as classless as to the level he has evolved. We have allowed him to take us to a much lower standard.

Oh I think it's pretty obvious that too much of America is at that level and does little about it except maybe shake their head and try to ignore it. Otherwise they might have to do something and that takes effort.

But let's stop pretending that this "normalization" started with Trump. It was normal among democrats for a long time before him. I wonder if this writer called it out at that time. I wonder if he said anything about the reaction to Kirk's murder.

Yea, I defend him 99% of the time for his tweets and takes…

But this was bad by Trump

Stupid thing to say and exactly what we have criticized the Left for doing for decades (being ghouls when political opponents die)

It isn't stupid. Like most of what Trump says, it's calculated to disgust and enrage people, make them less tolerant, and turn more Americans against each other.

He is correct…but let's not give Russel Moore much credit

He is on the slimy side of Baptists "moral-moral authority" and "principled conservatives" who love to endless attack the right while thinking up excuses not to criticize the Left

I can think for myself and see Trump was wrong here and should apologize…I don't need Russel Moore or David French types to dare jump on the stool of moral authority….no one needs that

You give Trump far too much credit. He's not that smart. There was no plan behind this . Instead it was Trump doing what he always does - he as all up in his emotions and he saw this as an opportunity to attack someone who insulted him. He lacks the filter or handlers necessary to keep him from spreading his base opinions. The idea that he had some greater purpose behind his comments is contradicted by years of evidence to the contrary.

Fine, let's say his overall strategy is to anger and divide people and he often improvises without necessarily workshopping and focus-grouping every last word for weeks and months beforehand. Does that sound a little less like science fiction?

Drugs are destroying American lives by the thousands on a monthly basis.

Either by overdoses, vehicular homicide , the slow deterioration of mental illness, or the murder and robberies of innocent people by those addicted to such narcotics.

And the only true 'conspiracy' involved in this tragic murder is the coverup on just how many people are horribly impacted by these narcotics.

It's not just the black, or the rural poor, ….its all of us.

What did he say about people and Charlie Kirk? Why is it ok for Trump, but those that didn't agree with Kirk were un-American?

I think anyone that speaks poorly of the deceased is wrong and it is a scumbag thing to do. Trump needed to keep his mouth shut and just send his condolences. Same with anyone on Kirk.
