Not sure if this is sarcasm or a lack of knowledge or do you just hate everything Trump. I say that honestly, because I've not interacted with you much.

It's fair to say the kid from an Iowa or the Bronx signed up to learn a skill or gwt an education, and they might very well be going "what have I gotten myself into". However, every pilot that signed up to fly jet fighters knew EXACTLY what they were signing up for. And they are all fully gung-ho.

So again, not sure of where you were coming from, but those fly jockeys all want to kick some enemy ass.

might want to check the facts of why Obama delivered the money before blaming him for this mess.
Trump bumbled from the outset. YES..1) Early in the first strike, a school was bombed, bombing a school for young girls, can not blame it on the fog of war. MURDERED more than 100 young children,
2) 3 F15 Eagles shot downon day 2.. by friendly fire..what the hell? If air assets and flights are not cleared, then we have friendly fire dropping $150 M of airplanes.

3)/Citizens of the USA trapped in the Middle East, told to catch a flight out, oh wait, airlines ALWAYS ALWAYS 1st to shut down. Just now today, trying to assemble military or civilian assets to remove US and other allied citizens. This should have been planned, staged etc before jumping into a war

4) Why have we not captured and held weapon-grade uranium?
5) Not 1 Cabinet member or POTUS can explain the mission succinctly and in agreement, good gosh, do we have a plan, or just deflect with Epstein War

6) Maybe I'm just a bit too soft, but the flippant and well thats war attitude and words of both Hedgehog and trump are typical of their don't care about body bags

7) AND Trump's own intelligence assets said 10 years to nuclear weapons ( Wikoff said a week..) and 8 to 10 years for long-range ballistic missiles. Should we know? Hell yes!
8. There was a nuclear agreement by multiple nations, allies, and Trump tore it up ( why…. Well, he is mentally obsessed that a Black President is rated better, loved more, and respected higher than him), and we would have had international backing vs a near go it alone situation
9 What's the plan for democracy to take hold after 47 years of oppression, propaganda, and lies.
Yes, the war is bumbled.

1. The strike on the school is very easily explained by the fog of war. The school itself was part of a military base. Hitting it, if it was intentionally hit by US or Israeli bombs, would be right in line with a fog of war scenario.

2. Friendly fire incidents are not uncommon in wars.

3. There are flights from the region. They are not entirely shut down.

4. Wha exactly do you expect here?

5. I have not listened to every person who has had something g to say, but it seems pretty clear that the objectives are to:

1. Destroy Iran's missile capability
2. Destroy Iran's navy.
3. Ensure the they lack the capacity to create nuclear weapons.
4. Degrade Iran's ability to support various terrorism proxy group that they have been backing for half a century.
5. Dismantle Iran's security apparatus.

6. In wars, people die. U.S. military leaders have a strong tendency to seek to protect American forces. That also applies to Trump.

7. 10 years or 10 months. Makes no difference. Iran was not backing down.

"The United States will never allow [Iran] to acquire a nuclear weapon."

"As president, I will take whatever actions are necessary to protect the United States and our allies. I will not hesitate to take military action if Iran attempts to obtain a nuclear weapon."

8. The "agreement" wasn't working.
We have enough international backing.

9. There isn't a plan for democracy to "take hold." If the Iranians are able to make a go of it, good for them. The plan is to end up with a government in Iran that is not continuing to attack us and our allies.

(Reuters) - The Trump administration plans to meet with executives from the biggest U.S. defense contractors at the White House on Friday to discuss accelerating weapons production, as the Pentagon works to replenish supplies after strikes on Iran and several other recent military efforts, five people familiar with the plan told @MichaelStone

Companies including Lockheed Martin LMT.N and Raytheon parent RTX RTX.N, along with other key suppliers, have been invited to attend the meeting, the people said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the discussions are private.

The meeting underscores the urgency felt in Washington to shore up weapons stocks after the Iran operation drew heavily on munitions. Since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022 and Israel began military operations in Gaza, the U.S. has drawn down billions of dollars' worth of weapons stockpiles, including artillery systems, ammunition and anti-tank missiles. The conflict in Iran has consumed longer-range missiles than those furnished to Kyiv.

At least one of the people said the gathering was expected to center on pressing weapons makers to move faster to boost output.

Lockheed, the Pentagon and White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment. RTX declined to comment. In a social media post Monday, Trump said there was a "virtually unlimited supply" of U.S. munitions and that "wars can be fought "forever," and very successfully, using just these supplies."

The White House meeting comes as Deputy Defense Secretary Steve Feinberg has been leading Pentagon work in recent days on a supplemental budget request of around $50 billion that could be released as soon as Friday, one of the people said. The new money would pay for replacing the weapons used in recent conflicts including those in the Middle East. The figure is preliminary and could change.

The push to boost production has intensified following U.S. military strikes on Iran, where the U.S. deployed Tomahawk cruise missiles, F-35 stealth fighters and low-cost one-way attack drones on Saturday.

Tomahawk missile maker Raytheon has a new agreement with the Pentagon to eventually ramp production to 1,000 units annually. The Pentagon currently plans to buy 57 of the missiles in 2026 at an average cost of $1.3 million each.

The administration has been steadily ratcheting up pressure on defense contractors to prioritize production over shareholder payouts. President Donald Trump signed an executive order in January to identify contractors deemed to be underperforming on contracts while distributing profits to shareholders.

The Pentagon is expected to release a list of underperforming contractors. Companies named will have 15 days to submit board-approved plans to correct the situation. If those plans are judged insufficient, the Pentagon can pursue enforcement actions, including contract terminations.

I'm sure that a lot of tomahawks were used, but the 5 years of production sounds stretched. 5 years of purchases seams more likely.
Tomahawks have been around a long time. I imagine ramped up production would replace them in much less than 5 years.

Bonus: this was written by a Baylor alumna.

Democrats are praying for activation of sleeper cells they let in. They would love to have an event their media allies can blame on Trump. Innocent victims are ok if it advances their political agenda. That is one consistency they have shown.

In other words, they are totally evil and don't care about the people except to the extent they provide money and votes for them, legitimately or illegitimately. But I already knew that.

No country has been more harmed by Iran than Lebanon.

Extremely symbolic gesture.

The people of Lebanon have been bullied by Iran and its terrorists for over 25 years.

Maybe Trump is on to something here.

Now if only Israel can restrain itself.

At the risk of oversimplification, when the French left Lebanon, they gave the economy to the Sunnis, the government to the Christians, the mountains to the Druze, and the stony ground to the Shia. The Shia mattered little. Then the PLO and Iranians showed up. Destabilized country. Hizballah, thanks to Iranian support, became first among equals in Lebanon politics for decades.. Thanks to Israel, they've been sharply degraded. Thanks to the US bombing campaign in Iran, Hizballah funding has been cut off. Now, Lebanon is going to quietly help Israel finish off Hizballah, with actions like we see here. Yeah, they'll squawk about Israel being on Lebanese territory, but they're quite happy that Israel is willing to do all the hard work to make Hizballah once again a fringe player in Lebanese politics.

The Israelis are the best allies imaginable. They will do incredibly difficult and risky jobs, and shrug off the resulting opprobrium. Hizballah has killed an awful lot of Americans. Hundreds. A world without Hizballah and its Iranian backers is a much, much better world, most especially so for American citizens traveling, like Robert Stetham. Google him up. Again, that was at the beginning of my era of service, when I "collected" against the target very directly......

China demands immediate reopening of Hormuz Strait as 50% of its oil import faces collapse

This move signals a direct effort by Beijing to leverage its position as the Islamic Republic's primary economic partner.

Following the launch of the U.S.-Israeli operations Lion's Roar and Epic Fury which resulted in the death of Ayatollah Khamenei and senior IRGC leadership shipping through the energy hub has been paralyzed.

Stability in the Hormuz Strait is a matter of national survival for Beijing. In December alone, nearly half of China's crude oil imports passed through this narrow chokepoint. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that China "strongly urges all parties to immediately cease military actions, avoid escalating tensions, and ensure the safety of navigation."

Beyond public statements, Beijing is reportedly exerting significant "behind-the-scenes" pressure on Tehran:

Sources from Chinese state-owned enterprises indicate that officials are pressuring their Iranian counterparts to ensure that oil and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) tankers are not targeted by retaliatory strikes.

Beijing is particularly concerned about Qatari gas, which accounts for 30% of China's LNG supply. Any disruption to these shipments or strikes on Qatari export hubs will cause an immediate energy crisis in China.

Sigh. We've been fighting Iran for 47 years. Will take about 4 weeks to end it. All we had to do was decide "enough."

A couple of purchase orders will replenish stocks in plenty of time to deal with China.

If you isolationists don't put your skirts down from around your heads and learn how the works really works, you'll just continue to run around in circles shrieking the world is coming to an end.

The only thing coming an end is the mullah regime in Iran.

China can not afford to look weak throughout the rest of the world.

They are going to take action.

To what extent…no one knows…..yet

Xi Jinping is too busy purging his top generals to consider any sort of military action in the immediate future. This could not have come at a more inopportune time for China, with the PLA top brass in such disarray.

I can foresee a situation in which China funnels huge amounts of money and weaponry into Iran to prop up their chosen faction in the event that Iran devolves into civil war and warlordism.

I have hope that this will not happen. Iran is not Afghanistan or Iraq. Iran is ethnically diverse, but it is also a proud, old civilization with a three thousand year history of organized statehood. It will be much easier to put back together than either of our previous Middle Eastern interventions.
