I am not really a fan of going this far and then off ramping in any way where we give the Iranians money or drop sanctions, and let them keep their nuclear material.

Need to retrieve it or regime change for this war to not be a massive waste. Otherwise we will be back within the decade.

I hope you are right about sending them in. That is a rough haul. This is not Panama or Grenada. Iran has had decades to fortify.

Same pattern as those other jumps. Lots of planes from Hunter and Pope. Rangers first, 82 support. 12 sq miles is a lot of territory...

Time for Trump to show some diplomacy skills.

You on the othe hand, I have rarely seen such a cheerleader, that is not making money on what they are cheering. Not really sure just how much power the Saudis can bring to bear.

Their entire military is only about 3x the size of the Texas National Guard. Only about 40% of their fighter aircraft are combat capable.

The only Saudi pilots I saw fly weren't interested in landing.

The Saudis are 2nd only to Israel in the amount of influence they have in DC……involving affairs in the Middle East. Due to their oil reserves and wealth.

Have always read the Saudis have a well trained and equipped Air Force. Where have you read it is only 30% combat effective ?

I don't think the two are really that far off. They are well trained and the planes they had were well equipped, the numbers were not high. The ones I knew were flying more to keep wings, but were in administrative capacity. They just didn't have the numbers.

Well educated! The ones I knew at Dharan Air Base were all Cambridge, Oxford, Trinity undergrad and US masters. Funny, Oxford and Oklahoma State was a strange mix... Good guys, used to work out with them when I got to the Air Base. Locker room I had to use was marked "Infidels".
