Whatever the margin of error and allowing for potential flaws in the polling methods, his approval level among his base is unprecedented. The key is it's his base: they don't care what Leftist idiots think any more than Trump does. They've been lied about and falsely blamed for so much over the past few decades, especially white males, it's understandable. I expect an honest adjustment of the number, if that's even necessary, puts it in the 90s which is still amazing.

As bad as gas prices are now, they aren't as bad as the 4 years of Bidenflation. And we know the causes of both. Bidenflation was because of deliberate policies that inevitably would harm average Americans. Biden & his handlers never cared about any of us. Trump's policies are for a larger objective people can understand, relate to, and support. Also, we can believe it will be temporary. That might be overly optimistic but Trump's base are very happy with his accomplishments. The tears of the fascists are schadenfreude.

It's funny to me how the Trump haters jump into the deep end so much yet imagine they can pretend to be the rational ones.

My wife, her sister and I all voted for Trump. But we are very different in how we see the guy.

My sister-in-law is the stereotypical MAGA fanatic, who thinks Trump's every move is genius. She and many like her will indeed support Trump no matter what he does.

Me, I like his policies and have an attitude of seeing if his actions work out before labeling them a success or failure, especially when confronting foreign adversaries. I have little personal like for the man himself or his style, and have said more than once that he hurts his own cause by his inability to shut up. Beyond that, I refuse to take part in the rhetorical lynching the haters demand, in part because they exaggerate the scope and frequency of Trump's missteps, in part because most of them would not give Trump credit for most of his successes, and they assume the worst just because someone at CBS or ABC said a bad thing about the President. And frankly, helping to feed their vitriol by supporting some of their slander would be like handing out crack to Hunter Biden; it will only make them even worse.

My wife is in many ways the litmus. She generally does not vote, but supported Trump at first because of illegal immigration, and now supports him because of government waste, taxes, tariffs and Iran. She believes these are long overdue to be addressed, and for all his clumsy style, Trump is the only person actually trying to address these issues. The people who hate the President, whatever their party, are not really interested in anything but their egos and personal advantage.

That last group is where I think the mater will be decided, from the midterm elections to the course of our nation's future. People like my wife don't answer polls, don't generally vote in primaries, but they support Trump quietly but firmly.

Funny how so many ignore that group, even after lessons of the past remind them to pay attention.

The Straits of Hormuz: America's Gallipoli?

Here we go again. When the target list for air and missile attack runs out the war is supposed to end. Predictably, Washington's war against Iran is lasting longer than the target list.
DC expected Tehran to capitulate to Israeli demands long before the target list was exhausted. Whether President Trump realizes it or not, EPIC FURY looks like a "whole of government" failure that may well cost him his presidency.
Quote:

EPIC FURY is a "whole of government" failure that may well cost him his presidency.

The air and missile campaign that began with limited objectives (and limited means) is now an American war of attrition waged without allies on behalf of the Israeli State for the total destruction of the Iran.

You lie a great deal now, never used to be your thing, FLBear.

Truly sad, that.

Lie? You guys ARE cheerleaders, there is no objective discussion. Either you are gung ho Donald or you are "Biden".

Even the shooting of protestors was a black and white issue, they deserved what they got. That IS NOT the response masked Federal Agents shooting people in the street would have gotten under Biden, it would have been proof of fascism. If Biden took us to war with Iran? No matter what he said it would not be enough.

SO, no lies. He's your Fonzy. Get it...

This is a positive for Trump, I am stand-up enough to admit when his actions work...
Opinion: China is losing ports, power and presence in Latin America

More effort in Latin and South America, like Argentina would be good, instead of fighting Iran for Israel. Trump made progress there, that is a positive and in our backyard. Top marks.

Take that as a badge of honor coming from that imbecile who worships trump and seemingly doesn't get out of his house.

As predicted last summer, Iran's nuclear program remains intact. Regime change efforts have failed. US and Israeli defenses are depleted. Israel is at existential risk from missile and drone attacks. And the only conventional option left is ground forces, of which we have not nearly enough to make a difference.

Because your predictions on Russia/Ukraine were so accurate...

The 2023 counter-offensive failed spectacularly, with Ukrainian forces unable to reach Russian defenses, much less penetrate them. The Kursk offensive was likewise repelled with massive loss of Ukrainian personnel and equipment. Sanctions against Russia have failed to cause economic or political collapse. And Russian forces have continued their slow advance through the Donbas and beyond. So yeah, pretty much.

That's all very nice, but your constant prediction at the beginning that Ukraine could not last much longer is glaring.

13 KIA's in a war of this size is remarkably low.

Suspect more individuals have died in Chicago in the same time period .

Now that Israel has successfully manipulated our government into this war…….we have to win it.

Expect casualties will increase.

As will the traditional casualties in Chicago.

Trump claimed Iran had planned to send over eight large vessels of oil as a show of good faith related to potential peace negotiations. He then described hearing of media headlines which said eight ships were moving through the Strait of Hormuz.
Quote:

Tanker tracking data compiled by Bloomberg shows no sign of the eight big boats full of oil that are going right up the middle of the Hormuz strait that President Trump just mentioned in his briefing.

In the meantime oil went to highs of the day after Iran's parliament called to continue the war until the enemy is "definitively forced to regret its actions".

At this point, Trump is entirely out of touch with reality.
