Funny how we have gone from "no nukes" to "no nukes and no missiles" to "Turn your civilization into a parking lot". Almost like it has gone from a non proliferation mission to get Amalek.

If you are not cheering on the US then you are a cheerleader for the Iranian regime, terrorists who have been bass murdering people for 47 years. In January of this year they slaughtered up to 45k of their own people for peacefully protesting against their tyranny.

People on the Left who try to take the moral high ground always end up looking like fools.

To answer the question, yes there have been many generation of Iranians that didn't hate America, and were not terrorists. With each new generation of Middle Easterners, we renew their hatred of America since the 70s. It doesn't have to be that way.

I think we are plenty willing to sacrifice Americans simply because it keeps the war machine going. Simple as that.

What is idiotic is your post which assumes there will always be terrorists in the Middle East that want to kill Americans.

If you knew anything about the history of Islam you would not demonstrate such ignorance. Ever since Muhammad, Muslims have hated "infidels" and wanted to kill them, meaning us. It's still true today, especially among the more fanatical. Are you aware that Iran has called the US "the Great Satan" since 1979? They hate us because we are not Muslims and as the most powerful country, the greatest obstacle to all their ambitions.

Blaming the US, Israel, or the west in general is merely blaming the victims.

Muslims consider pagans to be infidels, not Christians or Jews.

that is blatantly false, and you know it

He is, for once, correct. Islam claims the entire Judeo-Christian tradition as its own. Jesus is the most frequently mentioned person in the Koran. Moses is mentioned 136 times. Muhammad is merely the last in a long line of Jewish/Christian prophets. Muslims are instructed to consider Christians & Jews are "peoples of the book," to be treated better than the "polytheists," whose existence is is an outrage. Islam is irritably intolerant of "shirk."

The islamists typically justify their attacks on Christianity as a form of shirk (the "Trinity" being defined as polytheism). They typically justify their attacks on Jews by virtue of the existence of a Jewish state in islamic lands (denying sharia).

the book may explicitly say one thing, and the people can explicitly interpret differently. That's true of all religious books, but they are plenty of Muslims that extend "infidel" to include any non-Muslim or anyone who doesn't believe Mohammed was the "chosen profit of god".

The influence of Khomeinism in Shia and several Sunni Salafist/Wahhabist influencers like Sayyid Qutb altered Islamism (not Islam) over the past 60+ years in ways that has created an inherent conflict between Islamist nations and the modern world.

This is why you have to vet primary sources. If you watch the video in the x post, it is immediately clear that YossiBenYakar has misrepresented what the Ayatollah said. Operating from the understanding that there is no western concept of religious freedom in societies ruled by sharia law, what the ayatollah is saying is a good bit more tolerant than the Sunni version.

Don't presume that

" Yossi Ben Yakar is a licensed electrical engineer currently working as a Dispatcher in the Transmission Management System at the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC)."

Has anything but a vested interest in lying to you.
He's discussing apostasy. There are similar laws on the books in many Islamic nations, including ones you wouldn't consider "radical".

If you watch the video you realize he isn't. The general Sunni response to leaving Islam is execution for the act of apostasy.

This Ayatollah is saying "go home and do whatever you want at home. But if you engage in criticism of the state religion or encourage others to convert you will be executed." That's about as close to a declaration of religious tolerance you're going to get from Islam.

For a Jew to mischaracterize that isn't surprising.
Apostasy laws deal less in your level of adherence individually, but your efforts to lead others away from Islam. That's what he's saying and what I'm referencing in my comment. Many Islamist nations jail you or worse for it.

Trump is finally starting to see the situation he's in. That makes this the most dangerous time yet in the war. Best case scenario, we declare victory, retreat, and prepare for the global recession. Worst case scenario, it's back to the Stone Age (not just for Iran).

Many were arrested for their efforts.

Many here may have forgotten that in February, tens of thousands of Iranian citizens marched in protest of the regime, at a time when there was not a single US plane or soldier to protect them from the Revolutionary Guard.

The Revolutionary Guard did in fact murder protesters immediately before the US started its attack in late February. How many is unknown, but credible reports say the killing was unprovoked but widespread.

The first problem is the difference between 'opposition to the regime' and the foundation for 'regime change'.

The associated problem is how many people are unwilling to discuss the issue in calm, rational terms.

Any debate about modern ME quickly turns into an escalating chicken and egg argument. Did the terrorism beget western response and aggression, or did the western aggression beget the terrorism. The reality is there is plenty of blame on both sides if you look at it from a macro level, and the US has anything but clean hands to claim innocence. That doesn't justify the attacks on innocent civilians, but neither does the terrorist attacks justify the wide spread retaliatory efforts which have, in turn, lead (directly or indirectly) to much death and suffering for millions of people in the region.

Yep,

100%

Time out. What does the Quaran say? It does not say kill all infidels. Infidel is someone that doesn't believe in a particular Religion, Christians used the term as well. Check out 2 Corinthians in older versions or 1 Timothy in the Bible. The bathrooms in Saudi were marked Infidels for non-Moslems.

Did Jim Jones speak for Penticostals and David Koresch 7th Day Adventist?

There are extremist in every Religion.

reading comprehension?

Sorry, missing your point. The many Moslems I know (I shared an office with an Algerian and Iranian Moslems for 4 years) are definitely not charged with killing infidels and there is no place in the Quaran that says that they are supposed to kill non-believers. There are radical clerics in all religions.

As for infidel, it is a work all religions have used. Nothing special to Islam.

I am not sure what problem you have with it?

You know 303, by now I cannot tell if you are simply unable to comprehend simple points, or are just so deep in hating the American effort that anything said must be perverted by your team to attack the US and its allies.

Certainly the dishonest character of your last post is consistent with the pro-Iran tone of your work the last week or so.

Must make you feel all jihady inside.

Are you arguing this isnt a direct quote from you the other night?

" Has it occurred to you that we may be creating demand for a company to go into Iran and rebuild its infrastructure, especially power and water?"

Disagreeing with you doesn't make me dishonest or pro-Iran. If you knew how to make a point without resorting to cheap logical fallacies and now ad hominin, it might be worth exchanging with you.

You are wonderful at taking things out of context.

But lies and smearing the US effort come naturally to you, as well.

I did get a chuckle seeing you of all people throw out the ad hominem accusation.

And history does not constitute a 'logical fallacy', boyo. Just one more of your lies that make you look absurd.

You seem so confident, please feel free to point out any lie (that is an intentional misstatement or falsehood meant to mislead someone, not merely a position or statement you disagree with), an ad hominin attack or where I took anything you have said out of context.

Ill hang up and listen.

Everything is already in plain print.

Treating your vomit-in-print as something worthy of respectful debate is as absurd as deciding a chihuahua yapping at you deserves a considered response.

Translation, you can't, so you're taking your ball and going home. Good work.

Funny how we have gone from "no nukes" to "no nukes and no missiles" to "Turn your civilization into a parking lot". Almost like it has gone from a non proliferation mission to get Amalek.

I just hope he doesn't go nuclear...

What objective evidence is there that he even thought about doing so?

Your spiteful imagination does not come close to counting.

Show your evidence, or just admit you are deep into MakingLiesUp-ville.

"A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don't want that to happen, but it probably will,"

Your right, it is probably a Canasta tournament

Remember the other night oldbear was using the idea that "american companies may get contracts to rebuild Iranian infrastructure" as a post hoc justification for strikes.

When asked about direct quotes from the POTUS and others in the admin, he said something about me whining and being hysterical (I am ad libing of course) and stopped engaging with me.

Well, he should feel good. He is on the opposite side as the Pope.

This is the America I want... (sarcasm)

At the same time Israel is detaining UN troops in Lebanon. We seems to be doing our best to put ourselves on an island with Israel alone.
