So you support Iran's mullahs.

Noted.

Mullahs? No. Our kids in the military? Yes.

Mullahs and I have an agreement. I don't **** with them. They don't **** with me.

My favorite Mullah quote is "Don't start none. Won't be none!"

Mullahs never said that. Not in 1979, and not now.

But they have been '****ing' with the US since 1979.

Some of you just ignore that part.

You can not support a country while also not starting a war with them... a very esoteric concept for the Boomer mind.

Just your excuse to spit on the flag, and the men who serve it.

Disgusting. You are a travesty of a poster.

You need a mirror to see 'disgusting'. You spit on our troops just bc you hate the President.

All on you, no matter how much you try to deny it.

I believe them more than I believe us. To believe us, I have to believe we destroyed their ability to make Nukes in 2025, and we needed to go after them again in 2026 because of their nukes.

yup. what win. Just cost us $300B to a country trying to wipe out the world so they can repair what we effed up with on 1 of Piggy's stated must do's. It only cost the Mercan taxpayer 1Trillion. Great deal Put a hurt on their military/nave. -yes, Regime
Change-Strike, decimate their missile capabilities-strike, people uprising-strike, Drones-strike and the biggie. No nuclear material or enrichment-Big Strike. Not even in this POS agreement. . That right there is the "Art of the Deal". What a chump. Only cost Obama a few million. Fat boy went off half cocked with obviously no plan. No he's cutting an running with basically 1 win.

Ok...so what did we gain from all of this? What do we have now that we didn't before the war?

Weakened their military? Destroyed their potential nuclear capabilities further?

.@VP: "What this agreement does is really twofold on the one hand, it ensures that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, while simultaneously opening the Strait of Hormuz… it also fundamentally extends a hand to Iran and says, 'Look, if you guys are willing to honor your obligations, if you're willing to allow real inspections of your nuclear program, then we will welcome you back into the world economy.' I think what @POTUS wants to do is turn over a leaf of 47 years of a failed relationship between the United Stated and Iran, but that requires the Iranians to actually honor their end of the bargain."

The Iranian government isn't so much a country as it is an Islamic criminal gang. There are a number of countries that are basically criminal gangs. With some of them, like Venezuela, it is fairly easy to do something about it. Others, like the People's Republic of China or North Korea, pose more of a challenge.

When you say "do something about it", do you mean initiate military action that doesn't result in actual regime change? Because we're about to agree to support the "Islamic criminal gang" more than anyone would have thought prior to February 28th and the "harmless" nuclear dust we justified the war over.

You'd think we'd have learned something about how "fairly easy it is" to do something with these despotic regimes…

No, if you are going to "initiate military action" in a situation like this, it needs to result in "actual regime change."

Which defense contractor signs your checks?

Have you stopped abusing children?

What a wild slander... Israel Firsters are always the most odious pieces of garbage

I dont abuse children you perfidious *******... only warmonger Boomers like yourself

And I don't work for a defense contractor or for any U.S. government agency, "you perfidious *******."

Israel has a right to defend itself. If they don't, they will be, as had been tried multiple times without success, driven in to the sea by their "neighbors." This doesn't make me an "Israel Firster," it makes me a "brain firster."

They absolutely have a right to defend themselves. So too do the Palestinians, the Lebanese, and the Iranians.

The Lebanese would like to get rid of Hezbollah, but they can't. They've admitted that several times.

If the Iranians get access to billions in exchange for

unfettered inspections that can happen at will

Supporting free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz

Turning over enriched uranium

Dismantling all nuclear facilities

Ending proxy terrorist support

would that be a good trade?

Some billions? Maybe.

$300 billion? Hell no

It also depends on where the money comes from. If it is unfreezing Iranian funds I'm ok with it after they have completely dismantled their nuclear program and surrendered all enriched uranium. Maybe even in stages. If it's from the US taxpayer, absolutely not. Not a single penny.

A good deal would also make clear that any backtracking by the Iranians would any of it and invite military reprisals.

Ben is correct. Israel has as much right to defend themselves as anyone else. And, considering they are surrounded by enemies (some are "frenemies" now) who want to destroy them and who have tried repeatedly to do so since 1948, they have every reason to be insistent on that point.

Are you aware of money held from Iran by sanctions? Money which legally belongs to Iran but also legally is held back from them?

This is not about us paying them money. It's about Iran being allowed partial and gradual relief of economic sanctions in return for abiding by the agreement.

Or you can just believe the people who sponsored terrorism for half a century and versions of negotiations so dishonest their Ayatollah is an honorary Biden.

The 2015 agreement wasn't even close to that. If it was, Obama would have needed to put more sanctions on Iran and taken military reprisals for egregiously breaking it multiple times.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but access to a fund and relief of sanctions (iran) is not the same as giving them money with no strings attached (Ukraine). If they are sim0ply giving Iran 300 billion well that would be stupid.

Shiiiit! This deal is JCPOA + lipstick, $100B+ no Middle East military presence and us weakened.

If we're honest, this isn't even a deal. It's an agreement to do a deal.

If the language of the MOU (assuming a written agreement exists at all, which I seriously doubt - it would have been paraded by the administration if signed when they original said on Trump's birthday) would be released, it would put a lot of rumors to rest.

I suspect there is little more than a bare framework for prolonging the ceasefire with a lose "agree to agree" language included.

Either way, whether we are releasing from held sanctions money, or giving/organizing the giving, of roughly the same amount of money as they entire GDP of Iran, there is no way to say that is not an incredibly significant concession to even be discussing without proof of equally material concessions from Iran.

It's pretty wild to be a long-timer on here (like since the BaylorFans days), and see how things can change. What you just laid out about the source of funds, I can remember explaining that concept to you specifically (among others) back in 2015 and since. And now your position has completely reversed from back then, imagine that.

Using the same arguments against the Obama deal, money is fungible and that $300 billion is going to used to fund terrorists and buy drones that will eventually make our lives and the lives of our friend's uncomfortable.

I think its pretty safe to assume the Iranian regime can't be trusted with one billion. I expect them to not hold up their end of the deal in the long run.
