Crazy work from a country we have defeated militarily 10+ times since April.

Must be buying missiles from someone else. Whiterock assured us we had decimated their ballistic capabilities.

Not only that, but the rest of the world has no choice but to do what we want them to do. We can do anything to them and they wouldn't go against us.

So, it is impossible that somebody is selling them missiles. So, it can't be that. Must be fake news.

It's not quite that bad. If Iran had not shot at tankers, we would totally be the bad guys, using might makes right principles to bully Iran into submission. But they have threatened the world economy, and unlike when we do it with tariffs, they don't havd the clout to get away with it.

So while the rhetoric is largely anti US, the international community has little issue with bombing the missile capabilities of a terrorist state who is shooting at oil tankers and freight ships.

You lost me, the comment was about others supplying Iran and us have said we won the war too many times to count. We were told it is over, they were decimated and it seems they are getting stronger and the missiles more sophisticated.

No one said that bombing Iran's missile capability was wrong or bad. Or that Iran is blameless.

Problem is the only way this ends is occupying and that will cost a lot of American lifes

I was responding to your "the rest of the world" comment.

I agree we should not occupy, but we should not drag this out either. We have to go for it with the bombings. And figure out how to seriously degrade their ballistic capability, and together with the Gulf states, prevent them from rebuilding a huge missile program. Going it alone whenever Israel asks us to tag along is a horrible idea, but something can be salvaged still.

Different topic, but I am still not sure how Congress is not weighing in. I should google it i guess.

Sometimes governments fall without an occupying force.

Several questions on that.

How often has that happened?

How often after going to war with them?

And how often has it resulted in a change to a more favorable Administration?

I am struggling to think of one. Every one that I can think of has come from troops on the ground. I guess maybe some small African and South American Nations? Any Nations of consequence?

Trump is proving this to be true. He's. It's a horrible human being (as stated in his cards with the divorces, lies and failure to pay his bills) and a horrible business man/negotiator (see bankruptcies and lawsuits)

We could have a good discussion on the effects and success/failure of Trump's polices. Perhaps someone else will agree and this topic could serve a better direction.

Obama was decimating civilians. Probably best for the liberal clowns on here to let this one slip by

There are facts we can discuss. Even though JD Vance sleeps with couches, that's not on Trumps card.

Budgets, deficits, wars, bankruptcies are all provable.

In what context would you put $13T debt increase over 5 years of a presidency?

Consider how much of that is from interest, Congressional adventures, and of course the predecessor.

Presidents have been known to start big expenses and leave them for someone else to pay.

Considered.

Over the last 25 years, Republican administrations offer tax cuts then go to unfunded war. (Or other emergencies) 2008 financial crisis, COVID etc.

Since 1980, we've tried this "trickle down" nonsense. We keep learning that you have to collect taxes if you want to pay your obligations.

Of course, Congress has some responsibility, too. Needless to say, Trump economic policy appear to be kleptocracy.
