Trump may be an idiot, but I seem to recall the sentiment that we should have been invading Iran rather than Iraq after 9/11. Historically, they had a complicated but often cooperative relationship, including AQ terrorist attacks against the United States. Looking back, perhaps we should have responded much more vigorously against Iran after their attacks on us.
