Meanwhile, the percentage of refinancing of US debt by short term T-bills for Q3 and Q4 of 2026 has exploded upward to 50%-60%. My read is that Bessent is trying to give Warsh a little breathing room to raise rates 25 or 50 basis points over the short term to calm the bond markets before cutting in 2027. If Warsh instead holds over the next few fed meetings, I would expect to see the 30 year hit 6% in 2027.

Iran is still crazy man dangerous until radical clerics aren't calling the shots there. Until then, they threaten every western and Sunni Muslim country. Verbally and physically.
