My read is that Bessent is trying to give Warsh a little breathing room to raise rates 25 or 50 basis points over the short term to calm the bond markets before cutting in 2027. If Warsh instead holds over the next few fed meetings, I would expect to see the 30 year hit 6% in 2027.
