Thanks for proving you did not read the posts before yours in the thread.

Most people only care if a movie works for them, it's always been the 'Progressives' who lost a bolt ranting over 'cultural appropriation' because of race/sex representation.

Odds are the average person today does not have a copy of 'The Odyssey' on their bookshelves, and most have never read it, so the film will be judged on modern tastes and interests. How well the movie follows the original story is not going to be noticed by most people.
