How about getting on Trump for the no liability contracts he gave Big-Pharma that turned into 90B in profits??? Remember Warp Speed?

If we are going to do this, do it to ALL that made the decisions. This was not a one man show, Fauci was an advisor he had no authority to do anything, how about the decision makers that actually used his advice?

There is more here than one guy. If they are going to do it, do it. I want to hear from Trump, Pence, and the others.

Bud you are going to give yourself a stroke or heart attack thinking about your daddy Trump 24 hours a day. Let the hate in your heart go buddy

Oh I am sorry, who was in charge and put together Warp Speed? I must have misunderstood.

No need to apologize my friend. Just take a deep breath and relax and maybe step away for a bit. We are concerned about your obsession

Imagine if Trump had fired Fauci in 2020. Trump took his advice for 10 mos. Both men are at fault. One more than the other.

There should never have been lockdowns and such without Congress voting on it. It was a mistake once again to allow "the experts" to be in charge. In this case the "experts" were involved with creating the problem.

Considering that lockdowns were a function of state government, that would have been an unprecedented federal power grab.

100% true.

Trump and Biden are at fault for the COVID response mess.

Like it or not, at the time Fauci's advice was in line with the rest of the world (right or wrong). He was not an outlier coming up with strange requests to cover his ass... Dr Scarf lady was right next to him giving him credibility (each other). But at the end of the day, Fauci was an advisor.

Fired? Sure. Prosecuted? Not any more than Hegseth should be for Iran. Or Bessent for the Tarriffs. Or Austin for Afghanistan. Or Yellsen for not to lock up long term debt with low rates. Should they go to jail? For their diaries or personal notes?

(Personal Notes - Typically protected, not read from Congress to the world. They are the guy's inner thoughts. Do you want to be put on trial for your thoughts when dealing with people you disagree or don't like? )

Finally, there is still so much we don't have down on this.

For example, from what I have been able to read:
  • We funded Wuhan, I thin 2m over several years
  • Wuhan did GOF research
  • Was our US dollars used directly for GOF research? (I have found no link there in reports, only supposition)
COVID Origins
  • Half the world says natural from a seafood and life animal market
  • Half says the Lab
  • Investigation says the natural, but the lab information was either cleaned or tainted.
  • The only real fact is that there is still a missing link that we do not know.
There is A LOT that is not known and A LOT disagreed on by pretty much the world. Stringing this guy up, even as unlikeable as he is, does not seem to be solving anything. He was a cog in the wheel, not a decision maker for the COVID response.

You want to prosecute people - Prosecute Trump and Biden for the Trillion Dollar give away, shutting down the economy and NOT preserving supply chains. They are move harmful than standing 6 feet apart or wearing a mask. I give everyone a pass on the shots, they were doing their best and they helped keep more out of the hospital (I got that from actual Nurses and Hospital Administrators that were dealing with the numbers.)

There were no nationally mandated lockdowns. There are also a number of studies showing that lockdown behavior was overwhelmingly voluntary (upwards of 90%), so even if Congress had taken the draconian steps to usurp state sovereignty that you're advocating, it wouldn't have made much difference. People stayed home and the economy suffered because they didn't want to catch the virus.

Are you trying to sell a new class? Fascism of the Left.

Fascism is firmly on the right. Although Fascism and Totalitarianism/Communism share similar tactics but their aims are different. You are mixing tactics with strategy, a common error of novices. Trump is far more Fascist than Biden, who was totalitarian Socialist. Both used similar tactics such as weaponizing DOJ, oppressive movements and control of economy.

Fascism is of the Left. There is no such thing is right wing fascism, that's a myth started by the Soviets a century ago. It's amazing how long lies can be ingrained in public thinking! That's the impact of relentless propaganda for decades.

It's much more than tactics or strategy. It's more a matter of ideology: communism and fascism are both forms of socialism. Mussolini, the first official fascist (Woodrow Wilson might be the true originator), was a socialist and stated the fascist movement after he was kicked out. He didn't change his ideas after being rejected, he started a new movement to supplant his enemies.

I think one reason it's so easy for people to believe the lies is that fascism looks like capitalism on the surface because it allows for private property. But what matters is who has the power. Fascists don't care who owns a factory or other business but they intend to control what is done with it. If you own your business but government controls every aspect of its operation ownership is largely irrelevant. That's fascism in a nutshell and it looks much more like socialism and communism in practice.

These economic systems are also political and must be understood in terms of both.

You are an outlier there. Even if you are in some off shoot, outlier was technically correct, you are not describing the modern usage or definition's and leaving out large parts of history. But Liberal academics do that, caught up in the minutia.

Fascism's modern definition has been on the right, undisputed. Mussilini was not a Socialist when in power or as the world knows him as an adult, in the modern use of the word. Mussolini broke with the Italian Socialist movement in 1914 and took an alternative view of classic communism. His view after 1914 was totally incompatible with socialism. You leave that little part out.

Probably for wanting to be clever part, smartest bear in the room sort of thing. Hey, if that's your thing. But, even if you can stretch the definition to fit, you are not using the term's in the accepted modern manner. As an academic you should know that, again the clever thing.

It does not matter what is accepted by Leftist academics or any other Leftists if it's not based upon reality. You are only repeating the lies started by Stalin and repeated by Leftists ever since. Maybe that's your thing but it does not refute one word I've said. Do you feel better?

I will grant you this: communism tends to be more international while 20th century fascism tended to be hyper-nationalist (ie Hitler and the National Socialist, Nazis). However, that's as much of a distinction as some might think. Stalin, Mao, and every other communist dictator was perfectly willing to play up nationalism for their own purposes to manipulate the masses. In the end, all authoritarians and totalitarians, like all politicians, are interested in power above all else. Ideology is a means to that end. That's why morality is so important. Socialism (& all its variations) must be rejected completely because they are totally evil.

You are using the word "Socialist" a Party name as the definision of a Party. Hitler founded the National Socialist German Worker's Party, Hitler was a Socialist? Hitler was dead-set against socialism.

Stalin did not invent that Fascisim was right wing, that was in place before Stalin was doing his thing. Stalin is quoted as stating the - Fascism is contrary to the proletariat revolution, not exactly left-wing.

No, this is a MAGA thing trying to deflect the MAGA Authoritarian movement to Biden's fiasco. This has Bannon written all over it. Sort of a McCarthy-Esque move to place all opponents in the "Communism" Red Scare light.

You still don't get it. I was talking about ideology not parties. Hitler was a fascists, the kind of socialist that allows private property but wants to control it all. (He was a lot more but this is pertinent to the current topic).

Lenin claimed that imperialism was the last stage of capitalism (because of Marxist theory) and Stalin said it was fascism. Both were wrong but Marxists are wrong about almost everything. Hitler claimed to be a socialist and allied with Stalin to start WWII, later turning against him out of greed for more territory.

Stalin's description of fascism was not based on redd add pity but on his political imagination. That's another common feature of Leftists. Like communists and all variants of socialism, fascists try to appeal to the masses of the working class. True, fascists sometimes also appeal to wealthy corporate interests but only to the extent they serve the interests of the state as defined by the dictator. The key feature of the relationship is who has the power. Make no mistake, Mussolini, Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, & all other such leaders were totalitarian dictators and they did not share power.

Your last paragraph is just throwing mud on a wall hoping something will stick and failing miserably. It's a messy hodgepodge of buzz words meaning nothing.

You are disregarding History, Political Science and sociology to create a Frankenstein ideology, one that fits yours and MAGAs needs. Now it is a Communist thing. Think about it, you have Right Wing Fascism being defined as left wing and thrown in with a McCarthyism witch hunt.

You seem to think that if you like a label it counts as a definition.

First, the whole Left-Wing/Right-Wing spectrum is commonly used by the Left to pretend there is a moral equivalency. Then there is the media problem, wherein newspapers, TV networks and nowadays internet sources push out propaganda and call it news.

If you want to understand how we got Trump v Clinton, Trump v Biden, and then Trump v Harris for our last three Presidential elections, you need to understand what Obama did to campaign advertising and issue posturing. That is, a lot of skilled and smart people hide their actual policies and instead throw out image that their people thing will win votes.

If you listen to Trump's interview in 2024 with Rogan for example, it wasn't all that impressive, but Harris fumbled the opportunity and let Trump gain with a key demographic. Same for that McDonald's stunt.

Now take that philosophy and revisit old routines about Fascism, Socialism and so on. Whoever the Republican nominee was for President, the Democrats would label him a Fascist since 1980. And while perhaps a bit more polite by the Republican, the Democrat candidate has always been flagged as a Socialist.

The words have lost their impact, if you think about it.

That is, it's more Schroedinger than Frankenstein in character.
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier
