I think the WNBA team would struggle mightily to score against any 4A or larger school in the Waco area. Those kids are just too long, fast, and explosive.
Then let the boys play with a smaller ball that they can easily palm and throw around, and they're playing so much of their game above the rim. It would get ugly.
Same would be true against some smaller schools, but I think La Vega, Connally, China Spring etc would run them out of the gym.
I knew guys who were practice players against the Baylor WBB teams that were competing for and winning NCs. You're talking about regular Baylor guys who played HS basketball, pretty good intramural players, etc., and Mulkey would have them going at half speed to keep it fair.
The girls would have trouble getting good shots in the air versus, say, Lorena, IMO. Same of Live Oak, Vanguard, Rappaport last few years.
The whole discussion is absurd, which makes the WNBA coaches' and players' reaction difficult to fathom.
In 1977 I was one of those practice players. I was playing pick up ball in the back gym while the Bearettes prepared for the NAIA tournament. They were one of the best teams in the country but Title IX had not yet become the path it is today. So Coach gets 5 of us random to come play the Iona 1-4-1 and some man coverage (I drew the point guard, who later played for the Dallas Diamonds; she broke my nose)
We could run, but we weren't allowed to jump or shoot jump shots. We scored so easily that coach just had us run defenses in the half court.
As to trans athletes in women's sports:
I consider any male to female transition after puberty to be the same thing as a performance enhancing drug. You have a skeletal advantage, a frame to hang muscles on that a woman wouldn't have. Some players use PEDs and never reach elite status, but others do and have.
I also do not think a prepubescent child should receive sex change surgery. They can identify as a different gender and dress to fit, but no surgery until they reach majority.

Back in 2005 a friend and I, and three random students I did not know, ran a bunch of scrimmage games against the national champion Lady Bears. We beat them handily up and down the court for the better part of 3 hours with the average score per game being roughly 15-6. We never even came close to losing a single game, and that was literally 5 random dudes playing against the best women's team in the country. We need to stop pretending these biological differences don't matter.
The WNBA exists for a reason and it isn't because it is wildly popular or profit generating. It is to give women a league of their own. The virtue signaling by senior recognized representatives of that league may very well tear down what has been intentionally and painstakingly built at great expense.

This is exactly why it is so important for the WNBA to stand up for what we all know to be true. The league is for women and up until roughly 10 years ago, there was no real debate what that meant. Now there is, so they need to clarify in order to protect actual women.
Whether they like it or not, they're the chosen battlefield right now. It happened because of a Sophie Cunningham interview that spiraled into several of their players, coaches, and administration making public statements that appear to be in conflict with operating a league that is designated for women only. It is now on them to define what that means. If they don't, they may be dooming the other leagues you mentioned to a similar fate. Although, I imagine more and more of them will preemptively define what they mean by "woman" before getting drug into this nonsense. So far, the WNBA has continued to remain idle.
I imagine it'll look something like the rash of college conferences quickly implementing rules against players returning to college after playing professionally. One guy tried it, everyone realized it could be an issue, and they quickly amended their rules to preempt a bigger problem. Why the WNBA hasn't quickly done that to resolve this issue is beyond most rational, thinking humans at this point.

Because they have decided to take sides on the trans issue. Wear a shirt that supports biological men/women and you get removed from the game or told to cover up.
Wear a shirt for the other side and you can stay. Even the coaches and players are wearing these shirts. Owners are cussing and yelling at teen fans for the shirt they wear. And get a slap on the wrist.
The league has taken sides.

It's their responsibility because the "W" stands for "women" and their rules say the league is for women only. This is simple common sense. But the woke Left are at war with reality and cannot use common sense, so the league must be precise in what that means.
As already stated, if they believe a man becomes a woman just for saying so then all those distinctions mean nothing and Kanter and White qualify.

If the league favors one fan message or player message over another, that becomes a public league stance. Are you saying that is not happening?
If some players start clamoring for wearing football helmets adorned with the hammer and sickle during games, and that isn't quashed by the league leadership, then the league's public stance is that such things are ok. Especially when it starts showing up on the court.

LPGA, I have no issue with. Women's boxing, oh my there could easily be deaths in the ring. A skilled male boxer is so superior to any female boxer, he could easily kill her.
