Universities are becoming increasingly brown, and it appears white males want less and less to do with college.
This is a scary trend as college grads ultimately become the future CEOs and politicians, so we're going to lose our country if white male enrollment keeps dropping.
You believe CEOs have to be white men?
Very few people become CEOs. Owning a Plumbing company with 14 employees can be rewarding. Sometimes that looks way more fulfilling than middle management at IBM.
I believe Americans should run American companies. I also believe Americans should govern over Americans.
You have to be a US citizen to hold office. So what is your concern over the second prong there?
You guys throw the term "American" around very loosely. Clearly we're not talking about American citizens, rather the American PEOPLE
Heritage Americans.
You mean white Americans?
No, plenty of Heritage Americans.are black, Hispanic, Native American, etc. It's about the culture not the ethnicity.
Can an Indian be a heritage American, whatever that is? Can an Anglo whose family goes back generations not be a heritage American? Just confused about the test, because apparently hard-working, smart, family oriented students who love football fail the test.
Yes to both....
John Johnson (most likely not his born name). [ Records list him as a dark-complexioned porter in the 11th Regiment, U.S. Colored Heavy Artillery, 1864, who was born in "Hindoostan, India"]
Conjee Rustomjee Couhujee Bey: [educated in London and arrived in Brooklyn, NY in 1860. His obituary in the February 18, 1911 issue of the San Francisco Call identifies him as a Parsee who was born in Lahore in 1837. He was befriended by the famous pastor of Brooklyn's Plymouth Congregational Church, Rev. Henry Ward Beecher, who converted him to Christianity. He legally changed his name to Antonio Gomez. Gomez's letters to his mentor reveal many details about his life. He joined the Navy in 1863 and served for two years during the Civil War]
Chandra Lachman Singh: [came to the U.S. in 1911 from Guyana and was working in Chicago when he was inducted into the army in 1918. Returning to Chicago after the war, he purchased and managed residential properties in Lincoln Park and Hyde Park. ]
Good examples of people and their descendants who could easily identify as heritage Americans.
And I am sure we can find Anglos who fit the bill the opposite direction:
The Biden clan (rising all the way to the top of society reaching the Presidency of the USA) might be a good example of people who still seem to feel like outsiders and have reflective aversion to American patriotism. And I suspect when hearing Hunter Biden talk... still don't feel like Heritage Americans.
[Joe Biden's ancestors immigrated to America across different centuries and family lines,
with his earliest recorded ancestor arriving by 1820]
And we can even see that at play with two Black Americans....Justice Clarence Thomas and Senator Raphael Warnock of GA
Both can trace their ancestors back to the 1870 post emancipation census. And both almost surely have ancestry going back much farther than that... into the deep past among American Black enslaved ancestors (mostly along Georgia-South Carolina coast).
Both could very well have direct family going back the late 1600s or early 1700sPretty obvious Justice Thomas sees himself as a heritage American (and I don't think anyone would agree). I get the feeling Senator Warnock would bristle at the idea and not define himself as such.
