But, there has been some more reporting since the election about how the caravan was started and operated.
First we learned that the government had paid informants (influencers?) in the caravan.
Then we learned that online agitators impersonated a prominent figure to astroturf initial support and grow the caravan. Where have we seen this kind of online astroturfing used to great effect recently...oh right, the 2016 Trump campaign.

And the ragged nature of his support (embassy in Jerusalem, etc) has done absolutely nothing to improve Israel's safety and has affected the Palestinians horrendously, which will only breed more blowback and radicalization amongst their youth. The Tax Bill is a legit joke that has not had a measurably positive effect on the economy and EXPLODED the deficit conservatives used to care about. It was a straight up giveaway. And honestly? Trump had no idea what was in it. It's almost hard to blame him. He doesn't read and doesn't really care.
Was making nato pay more REALLY a huge problem needing solving? We spend more on defense as a nation than the next 7-9 countries COMBINED.
Besides, that "accomplishment" is questionable as they're only upping spending to where they previously agreed upon. There's nothing new there.

But a few weeks AFTER the election that is all everyone was talking about was the caravan trying to cross the border. The U.S. stopped them.
There were multiple reports (even liberal) showing that the caravan was upset w/ the organizers because they were told they could get in easily so many have tried to return home.

The tax cut saved me approx 20 k....hardly insignificant.
Trump still got more $$$ out of NATO 'allies' then any POTUS in years.
Trump also increased military funding .
Started enforcing EXISTING immigration laws.

I'm not a Trump supporter. I'm glad he won over Hillary, but I'm not a fan. No, I'm honestly not concerned about all the Russia hulabulloo. Unless someone gives me a reason to be, I think it's mostly a witch hunt because folks just don't like Trump. Frankly, neither do the allegations of him paying someone not to blackmail him over an affair. I have no doubt he had affairs, and I think he's a slimeball. But I care more about his character for having the affairs than I have a problem with him paying some sleazy porn star's demands to keep quiet about them. I'm supposed to care about his affairs as a private citizen when we've had presidents having affairs while in office? Like I said, I think he's a crappy human being . . . but I think he DOES care about putting America first, and he is appointing conservative judges which was paramount for this presidential term IMO. And he's pro business which has (thus far) been good for the economy. I am, however, pissed at the R's for not cutting spending and I think he never had interest in doing so (which did, as you say, make the tax cut a give away).

With real threats from Russia , China, Iran and North Korea our military needed an increase in funding .
It was only common sense.
87% to 1 % is simply ridiculous . The working class has been assisted in a major way .
Biggest budget problem this country has is the incredibly high number of people ( both illegal and illegal ) who pay nothing in taxes yet demand entitlements.
Unfortunately that problem politicians are too intimidated to address.
