Mueller is frustrated over resulting MEDIA COVERAGE of Barr's summary!?!?

Dude! What role does media coverage play in a special counsel investigation? You spent two years doing a very partisan investigation. Now you're whining about media coverage. You spent two years on Russian collusion and you got nothing.

The media coverage he doesn't like is the MSM ripping him for not finding collusion. It was so obvious! LOL.

Media coverage. Which media is he referencing? The MSM that functions as mouthpiece for liberals.

Or maybe not, and perhaps the WaPo/NYT report is not "so bad" if one actually reads it, because once the breathless WaPo finally does come up for air, we get to paragraph 13 - a point by which most readers have turned out - to read the following real punchline in the WaPo report:
Quote:

When Barr pressed Mueller on whether he thought Barr's memo to Congress was inaccurate, Mueller said he did not...

Mueller sent two letters to Barr, and Barr intentionally sat on Mueller's executive summaries, while testifying to Congress that he did not know if Mueller approved of his 4pg "summary". These letters sure make Barr's testimony sound an awful lot like a deliberate lie to Congress.

You can tell they all receive the same narratives and talking points.

They're political activists, not journalists.

Both sides do terrible things. Both sides lie. Both sides manipulate. Both sides push their point of view. But the problem is the weight of all of these organizations on one side of the political spectrum: 85 percent of journalists are registered Democrats.

It's a major sign of the destruction of the Democratic party.

At first the line was "if Mueller disagrees let him say so", as if Barr citing 1/3 of a single sentence written by Mueller wasn't shady enough, and now we find out that Mueller did speak up to Barr the next day after the Barr letter. When it was originally reported that Mueller's investigators took issue with the Barr letter, y'all whined about anonymous sources. Now, when Mueller actually puts his name to a letter calling Barr out, it's time to trust anonymous sources engaging in CYA maneuvers again. Funny how that works.

You're pushing fake news and you don't even realize it.

How many times are you going to fall for Democrat created narratives?

Mueller wanted the report to be released piecemeal to inflict the most political damage possible, since it contained no actual wrongdoing on the part of the president. This letter is pure politics.

The report was released almost two weeks ago. Very few redactions. Minimal. Only those required by law. Apparently you haven't looked at it.

These guys do not care about the rule of law unless it favors Trump and the GOP.

I honestly can't imagine what would have happened if the Democrats had been in control of the Senate and so blatantly obstructed a Bush SCOTUS appointee. Or if the Democrats were in control of the Senate and enough Republicans developed a conscience that Thomas resigned or Breyer or Ginsburg died and the Senate refused to consider Trump's nominee for SCOTUS. This board would be exploding with furious comments from the same people who justify what Mitch McConnell did to Merrick Garland. And some of the quoted comments would come from McConnell himself, explaining why it was OK for HIM to do it to obstruct Obama's nominee but not OK to use the same tactic against Trump's.

The law should not work one way for Republicans and the other for Democrats. Trump and his staff should be investigated all the way up their lower intestines for THEIR emails and other security breaches, since the Hillary-derangement syndrome crowd is still steamed up about her email issues. Misconduct by ANYONE should be investigated, and criminal charges brought if warranted.

Barr and Mueller are long-time friends. The fact the Mueller is calling Barr out on his obfuscation regarding the results of the investigation is telling about the way Republicans now comport themselves.

The letter was because the media reporting was inaccurate, not Barr's conclusion.

The letter clearly states that Barr's summary "sowed confusion" which Mueller appears to think was a deliberate and underhanded tactic to reduce the political pressure on Trump and underplay possible criminal conduct. It states the summary "did not fully capture the context, nature and substance of this Office's work and conclusions."

You may read that as a dig on the media. I read it as a clear indictment of Barr for providing a deliberately misleading summary.

Barr just said the NYT report about McGahan is FAKE NEWS.

Barr destroyed the left's central obstruction charge that Trump asked McGahn to fire Mueller. He obliterated it. Trump never asked McGahn to fire Mueller. He asked him to remove Mueller for conflicts, which is a legal issue that required review by his counsel. No Obstruction.

That's a question for Congress. Which should have access to the full report, with no redactions.

Trunp and his family have violated the emoluments clause. They have compromised national security. They have used their public power to advance their private business interests. Money from foreign governments flowed into the inauguration and has flowed into Trump businesses. None of that is kosher, but Republicans in control of Congress and the Senate refused to hold Trump accountable. Which means Republican leadership is complicit in any crimes that have been committed.

In June of 1992, Baylor Law valedictorian Leonard Davis was nominated for the federal district court bench. The Democrat-controlled Senate stalled his nomination (and many others) until President Bush left office so that the incoming Clinton Administration could make the nominations instead.

Not a SCOTUS seat to be sure but I see no reason why the principle should be any different for other seats on the federal bench.

Robert Mueller has been investigating "obstruction" from day #1 of his appointment as Special Counsel - he admitted it in the report - and hid that under the cloak of a "Muh Russia." At the same time, he raids Manafort and puts him in solitary; gets Manafort convicted for under FARA while giving Tony Podesta - Manafort's business partner at the time of the FARA crimes - immunity; bankrupts Flynn and forces him to plead guilty by threatening Flynn Jr; bankrupts countless other Trump associates; arrests Roger Stone at gunpoint after alerting CNN ahead of time.... The list goes on.

Then when Mueller could not find any crime or obstruction, he tried to punt the Witch Hunt over to the House Democrats - a body that has ZERO PROSECUTORIAL POWER.

Robert Mueller is the textbook definition of a dirty cop, actively tried to sink the Trump administration (COUP), and should perp-walked to Gitmo on live TV along with every other member of the cabal.

I did, actually. It paints a picture of a campaign that was at the very least open to receiving Russian help against fellow Americans, and a POTUS who was desperate to stop the investigation into that help. It also lays out how the principal targets were using encrypted channels to conceal their comms and lied in ways material to the investigation. I didn't even need the Report to know that Manafort chose staying in prison over telling Mueller the truth about his election-related dealings with a Russian spy. Did you read it? You are wrong Forrest. I'd say it was pretty even on both sides for most of our history.... Newt in 94 was aggressive and tough, But that was nothing compared to what it has been for the last decade. Starting in 2008, The GOP completely changed everything.... From YOU LIE to McConnell's threat that anyone working with the Dems on anything would be Primaried leading to the complete obstruction of anything proposed and culminating with the complete subversion of the political process and the theft of a SCOTUS appointment...

I'm pretty sure I'll be dead before we get back to anything close to the way it used to be.

Trump is your political pope. As long as he advances an agenda you approve of, he can do no wrong. If he flouts, skirts, obstructs or outright violates the law, you'll excuse that because you support him.

If Democrats controlled the media, Hillary would be president right now. The truth is nonpartisan.
Show me where he has broken the law.

YOU CANT.
"When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it--always."
