At first the line was "if Mueller disagrees let him say so", as if Barr citing 1/3 of a single sentence written by Mueller wasn't shady enough, and now we find out that Mueller did speak up to Barr the next day after the Barr letter. When it was originally reported that Mueller's investigators took issue with the Barr letter, y'all whined about anonymous sources. The letter was because the media reporting was inaccurate, not Barr's conclusion.Jinx 2 said:These guys do not care about the rule of law unless it favors Trump and the GOP.HuMcK said:

I honestly can't imagine what would have happened if the Democrats had been in control of the Senate and so blatantly obstructed a Bush SCOTUS appointee. Or if the Democrats were in control of the Senate and enough Republicans developed a conscience that Thomas resigned or Breyer or Ginsburg died and the Senate refused to consider Trump's nominee for SCOTUS. This board would be exploding with furious comments from the same people who justify what Mitch McConnell did to Merrick Garland. And some of the quoted comments would come from McConnell himself, explaining why it was OK for HIM to do it to obstruct Obama's nominee but not OK to use the same tactic against Trump's.
The law should not work one way for Republicans and the other for Democrats. Trump and his staff should be investigated all the way up their lower intestines for THEIR emails and other security breaches, since the Hillary-derangement syndrome crowd is still steamed up about her email issues. Misconduct by ANYONE should be investigated, and criminal charges brought if warranted.
Barr and Mueller are long-time friends. The fact the Mueller is calling Barr out on his obfuscation regarding the results of the investigation is telling about the way Republicans now comport themselves.
You can read the report. Where is the criminal conduct?Jinx 2 said:
The letter clearly states that Barr's summary "sowed confusion" which Mueller appears to think was a deliberate and underhanded tactic to reduce the political pressure on Trump and underplay possible criminal conduct.

That's a question for Congress. Which should have access to the full report, with no redactions.Doc Holliday said:You can read the report. Where is the criminal conduct?Jinx 2 said:

Trump is your political pope. As long as he advances an agenda you approve of, he can do no wrong. How many times are you going to fall for Democrat created narratives?
Mueller wanted the report to be released piecemeal to inflict the most political damage possible, since it contained no actual wrongdoing on the part of the president. This letter is pure politics.
The report was released almost two weeks ago. Very few redactions. Minimal. Only those required by law. Apparently you haven't looked at it.

You are wrong Forrest. I'd say it was pretty even on both sides for most of our history.... Newt in 94 was aggressive and tough, But that was nothing compared to what it has been for the last decade. Starting in 2008, The GOP completely changed everything.... From YOU LIE to McConnell's threat that anyone working with the Dems on anything would be Primaried leading to the complete obstruction of anything proposed and culminating with the complete subversion of the political process and the theft of a SCOTUS appointment...Forest Bueller said:Quote:

You have to be kidding here. Democrats have comported themselves like savage animals when it comes to politics for years, unfortunately it seems some Republicans are starting to meet kind with kind.

I did, actually. It paints a picture of a campaign that was at the very least open to receiving Russian help against fellow Americans, and a POTUS who was desperate to stop the investigation into that help. It also lays out how the principal targets were using encrypted channels to conceal their comms and lied in ways material to the investigation. I didn't even need the Report to know that Manafort chose staying in prison over telling Mueller the truth about his election-related dealings with a Russian spy. Did you read it? Apparently you're the one who needs to, since you still believe in that Seth Rich nonsense that oh so conveniently absolves Russia of what they did.
