Of course, his only real job as AG is to protect The Boss and he can't do that from behind a recusal.
Sorry, the Democrats' hopes and dreams of starting a new witch hunt against President Trump just splintered into a million pieces and scattered into the wind.

I have seen no one "on my side" as you say saying anything but who ever is involved needs to be punished. There is none of this "well if a Democrat is implicated it is part of a conspiracy and isnt real and those particular victim/s dont exist" bs.

Yeah, I'd say he's well connected.

FBI Directors have zero to do with sentencing.
They can shut one down though....Cough Cough Hillary/Comey
That wasnt the argument. Mueller was in no position to sentence him or anyone for that matter.

If you are now talking about Comey, then yeah I guess you could argue he did that. No idea. I'm more amazed that Bob Mueller, lifelong Republican and decorated war hero has somehow fallen from grace within the Republican party in favor of a draft dodging, womanizing, admitted sex offender, to say the least.

Mind blowing the way many of you contort yourselves for a quick fix.

True. And only 24 years after the Democrats did the same.

I guess losing the culture war did have repercussions after all.
Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

It's just an alleged statement and it comes from The Daily Beast, so my skepticism is high. That said, hoooo boy is that one hell of an allegation to put in print.
Quote:

"Is the Epstein case going to cause a problem [for confirmation hearings]?" Acosta had been asked. Acosta had explained, breezily, apparently, that back in the day he'd had just one meeting on the Epstein case. He'd cut the non-prosecution deal with one of Epstein's attorneys because he had "been told" to back off, that Epstein was above his pay grade. "I was told Epstein 'belonged to intelligence' and to leave it alone," he told his interviewers in the Trump transition, who evidently thought that was a sufficient answer and went ahead and hired Acosta.

Yes, if certain people interceded on behalf of a D-list actor, when no one else was even implicated in what he did, do you really think the power brokers caught with their pants down, literally, were about to let Acosta make a decision on his own in Miami?

So at least 3 speculative theories are floating around.

1. They finally got Trump. Easy to guess this one. If true, he gone.

2. Trump finally got them. It's why Epstein was arrested again. Trump will finally exact his pound of flesh.

3. Epstein is known as a wealthy (& successful) hedge fund guy. I read all about the top managers and their strategies regularly. Always a fascinating topic. But I know little about Epstein. Yet, he runs big money. Theory is he got pictures so you have to let him manage your money at the usual 2 & 20. He throws it into an index fund and makes big bucks charging full fees. Wiring him millions for blackmail isn't suspicious. You're just investing in his fund. Genius but he oughtta be put into a prison wearing a name tag and having zero protection.

There's a bunch is bums around this guy. I know we never really know each other but someone knew this guy. Someone knew and did nothing.

Trump once said Epstein likes them young, that doesn't mean he knew young was 14. Young could be 22.
Yea, most people say that and they think Clinton 50 Lewinski 21. Not 9th graders. That is sicko territory.

Monica was 24 (still to young for me).
When it started in 1995 she was 22, but yeah that is grown.

I'd read that as well because of his relationship to Ghislaine Maxwell. Epstein's job was to get dirt for political purposes.

Acosta Proposed 80% Funding Cut For U.S. Agency Combating Child Sex Trafficking

The same man who helped orchestrate Jeffrey Epstein's sweetheart plea deal in 2008 has, as President Trump's secretary of labor, pushed to drastically cut funding for the federal agency that fights child sex trafficking, according to The Guardian.

Labor Secretary Alex Acosta proposed an 80 percent decrease in funding for the International Labor Affairs Bureau (ILAB) for fiscal year 2020, which would drop ILAB from $68 million last year to $18.5 million.

ILAB is tasked with "countering human trafficking, child labor and forced labor across the US and around the world. Its mission is "to promote a fair global playing field for workers" and it is seen as a crucial leader in efforts to crack down on the sex trafficking of minors."

Yes they do. They tell who to back off.

This is Alex Acosta:

As US attorney he let Epstein off easy with a 13-month cushy sentence....BUT he was told to do so by higher-ups, because Epstein "belongs to intelligence."

Mueller was head of FBI at the time.

and you attribute this to whom? Acosta? sure, what a reliable source he is. Trump will wipe his hands of him soon, and i guess at that time, you can too.

CIA is over intelligence btw. FBI investigates crimes. So when he "belongs to intelligence" I guess your fight is with whoever that was over CIA at the time. But that isnt convenient for your narrative because that person wasn't investigating Trump or (perhaps) appearing before Congress next week.

keep defending it, really. it is a good look.
