Dr. Ashish JHA, Director of the Harvard Global Health Institute gave an interesting interview this morning on MSNBC. He said this morning the CDC is the best public health agency in the world, and this is not the CDC's fault. He said the problem is the administration has tried to down play this and has not taken this disease seriously. He said the president was saying a week ago this is not much worse than the flu, and ignoring public health officials and Dr. Fauci's warnings. He said that senior level officials at the FDA stopped development of a test in this country until very recently. For some reason we rejected the WHO test, made available almost two months ago, in favor development of our own test, and we have had one failure after another, which he said is inexplanable. Health care proffesionals and his friends at CDC don't understand what is happening at the senior most levels. Baffeling. He said that you cannot get a test today in Boston if your doctor needs to order a test, and that very few people are getting tested. He said there are theories the president doesn't want to know how many cases there are, and thinks this will just go away. Johns Hopkins is making their own tests now developed at Mayo. State health officials say no one knows where the numbers of one million test kits are coming from or where they will be coming from that Pence is quoting. He said if you call up your doctor today in Boston to see if you can get tested the answer is no. He said others are starting to buildi their own tests now because no one knows when those tests are going to be arriving and there is no faith the Federal Government is going to be able to deliver on the most basic thing that Iran, South Korea, and Taiwan can deliver to its people. What was promised is not being delivered.
The test is not readily available at those labs. There are a few tests that have been available provided throught the CDC. There have been stories on this all morning, even on Fox, recognizing that testing is not readily available and still is not yet readily available. Dr. Fauci this morning said there are 1 - 4 million that are ready or will be ready, and will be available, but there has been a disconnect in getting them distributed.syme said:I don't understand this narrative. Yeah, no sh/t. You're free to get screened - chest x-ray/ct, flu test etc - and it's a yes or no from there, but when have you ever been able to demand high-complexity testing for an emerging disease based off your google research?
It's the same narrative that has been ongoing for over 3 years, Everything Trump does is wrong. Never mind the initial travel ban from China that was scolded as racist by the left, the one that probably saved thousands of lives.syme said:I don't understand this narrative. I don't disagree with you in theory about buying time, but there is no way the travel ban didn't save lives. More cases of the severe version of the virus would have been introduced into our population without the ban. It is impossible it wouldn't have happened. It was like a team that hits a 50-yard pass on the first play of the drive to get to the other team's 20. Beautiful, now punch it in. Instead, we have had a bunch of holding calls, fumbles and plays going backwards. Now lining up for a 58-yard field goal attempt.
It was still a nice throw though.

Yeah, no sh/t. You're free to get screened - chest x-ray/ct, flu test etc - and it's a yes or no from there, but when have you ever been able to demand high-complexity testing for an emerging disease based off your google research?
MSNBC is a one trick pony. Every single angle they present is anti Trump, nothing will change.

If you think his facts are wrong (5) then address that. So far you've merely tried to marginalize the source.Bearitto said:quash said:You can oppose administration policy and still get 4 when you add 2+2.Bearitto said:

But he got 5. He's just opposed to the administration.
