Yes, wrong is wrong, and hypocrisy is hypocrisy. You being a hypocrite has nothing to do with whether commutation of some aged process criminal is reasonable. Presidents have the power of the pardon, and with the exception of the two who died in office early in their terms and Washington and John Adams, every other president has used that power more than Trump. What is illogical is to complain about a president using a power so much less often than every other modern president. It's like complaining about the one gnat in a room full of flies.Limited IQ Redneck in PU said:So Obama and Clinton are now the benchmarks to use for republican presidents?Malbec said:It makes it hypocrisy to criticize Trump for it. Especially considering the sheer volume of partisan commutations, pardons and clemencies issued by Democrat presidents, along with the abominable nature of the offenses that many of their beneficiaries committed.Limited IQ Redneck in PU said:
Well if Obama and Clinton did it that makes it ok for Pres. Trump to do it. Why should we expect better from a republican?
As long as the current president doesnt reach their level of swamp ooze you are satisfied?
A person should not criticize the current president as long as he is not as bad as Obama? Havent you and others called Obama the most corrupt in history? So as long as Trump stay above that level we are ok?
Interesting logic. Do you apply it to your personal life? If the neighbor next door gets drunk and throws stuff every night its ok if you only do it on weekends.
It still seems like kindergarten logic. Isnt wrong always wrong?
