those will help, but thats only a small sample of the increased cost of living that families are feeling

Spent over $100 at the grocery store this morning on 5 not full bags. No extra household items, just bread meat cheese coffee etc..

Not unusual for my wife and I to spend close to $300 on groceries.

Or over $40 for fast food, over $70 for a decent meal at a restaurant ( no booze ).

Somehow, someway Americans have adjusted to these prices.
Only thing I can figure is many younger Americans have moved back I. With their parents to save money .

USA Today had an article last week about kids in college not getting enough to eat..

Shoplifting has surged in US as well.

Its rough out there

They aren't. Credit card utilization is going back up. Utilization is up 3-4% over 2020 and the average CC rate right is 22.16% as of 11/13. That's up 6% from Q3 2022.

Average balances are up to $6365 which is an 8% increase from 2022 and 18% over 2021.

They are coping by putting things on credit.

There is going to be a day of reckoning eventually.

But I have been expecting an economic crash for the last 2 years.

The media tells us that 81 million 'voters' did so in 2020.

Think our electorate has gotten any more discerning since then ?

I doubt much of what the mainstream media says, especially absurd numbers kind that when there has been much evidence of fraud in multiple close states.

So with the Dems ability to generate voter harvesting, what does it matter if Biden ****s on himself ?

Especially if our media continues to wipe his ass ?

To stand any chance in 2024 Republicans desperately need to nominate someone younger, smarter, and without all the baggage.

As much as I would prefer to see DeSantis win the nomination, I think we should be ready for a Trump nomination.

Trump can win, given the situation. The question of course, is first what will happen in the deciding states (Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia) and if Trump wins will he have learned from his first term.

Trump will lose by a bigger margin than in 2020.

He is the one nominee Dems can legitimately beat.

SCOTUS number of judges is set by law, congress would have to change it, not POTUS..

Biden can be president if we had GOP senate and preferably house as well.

Good grief I know that.

But the next president is going to appoint at least 2 new judges.

The list goes on and on: Afghanistan, Iran, China, Bidenflation, the FBI acting like the Gestapo, constant lies, censorship, collusion, more scandals than anyone can count, immigrant children in cages (a holdover from Obama), open border, identity politics appointees (such as Sam Brinton) resulting in excessive levels of incompetence, a female Supreme Court justice who doesn't know what a woman is, a press secretary whose only qualifications for her job is that she's a black lesbian, never ending lies, and do on ad nauseum.

Maybe we should be grateful that Biden takes more vacations then anyone: when he is "working" the results are almost a disaster for the country. He s giving Barack Hussein Obama & James Buchanan a run for worst president in US history.

I'm sure the White House west wing is happy to send Biden off as often as possible. Keeps him out of their way.

disagree on the economy. Inflation coming down with int. rates, 4% growth. that ain't bad.

We must remember that whatever the official numbers, the real numbers are worse. The government changed the way they count inflation and/or unemployment (probably both) several years ago. So the numbers look better than they actually are, at least compared to before.

Anyway you cut it, the economy is terrible and everyone paying attention knows it. Every time you buy groceries, gas, or anything else it's clear that prices are much higher than three years ago.
