Any question he's the worst president in American history?
Some of us have been saying this for awhile: there’s been no more clear measurement of Biden’s odious character than the fact that, in the twilight of his life, he spent 4 years publicly denying one of his grandchildren for pure political expedience https://t.co/ZHWUjDnbYA

They can wish all they want, but they are stuck with Kamala. There will be an inner party civil war should they attempt to flush Kamala in favor of the pretty haired, rules for thee and not for me privileged white man from California. It would be great fun watching this circular firing squad should it happen.Doc Holliday said:

Yet if nominated he will garner 105 million votes.
I don't think most Trump voters view him as savior. They just think he's the best in the field. By a lot, if polls are instructive. Sure, he has many ardent followers. Most successful politicians do. but the larger number of people supporting him do see the critiques made against him and know full well there is at least some basis for them. What they do that Trump critics do not is look at the assets Trump brings to the table, and decide that we still need that. Trump critics, to the detriment of their argument, refuse to allow the man is anything other than, well, kryptonite.FLBear5630 said:whiterock said:Your numbers are off by 3x.FLBear5630 said:Quote:As I indicated, Biden was chosen as the lesser of two evils (LOTE) in 2020. But the GOP views Trump as the lesser of 2 evils. The rest, 20 million more, view Biden as the lesser of two evils. It would be a mistake to think that the electorate secretly wants Republican rule. Red Wave never came.
You are shoehorning history to fit an argument.. In 2008, the public voted aspirationally...for a new kinda guy. But 2012 that new kinda guy was polling in the low-40s and he had to demonize Romney to win. He did, and did = public voted for LOTE. 2016 was definitely a LOTE race won by the GOP. 2018 was mixed, about normal for a mid-term - GOP lost the house but held the Senate. 2020 was definitely a LOTE race won by the Dems, but GOP gained House seats and held a balance in the Senate. 2022 saw a loss of the Senate but a recapture of the House. So the ACTUAL description of history over the last decade shows one LOTE Presidential race after another, punctuated with midterms with mixed outcomes.
2014 will definitely be a lesser of two evils race against two badly flawed candidates. it could be another mixed outcome like we've seen the last several cycles. Or, it could tip one way or the other. The "tip" scenarios basically all involve a decision between which prospect seems scarier: 4 more years of stagflation and bullying by the woke? or 4 more years of Trump. I think Trump is going to be a lot more appealing option (within the context of LOTE politics) than his critics can allow. And no matter who wins the WH, I think GOP holds the house and recaptures the Senate. At some point, the public is going to hold the incumbent accountable for the mess we're in.
If he is against the same person he beat, from his basement, by 20 million votes it is a safe bet Trump is not seen now as some hero to the rescue as much as MAGA wants him to. The only way Biden is seen as the LOTE is against Trump.
Just as 2020 was a referendum on Trump, 2024 will be a referendum on Biden.
Trump has the better record.
And things are gonna get worse between now & the 2024 election.
People can and do vote for people they don't like. The do it in most elections. Most people do not like politicians.....
I stand corrected, 20 million more voters and Biden winning popular vote by 7 million and 134 electoral votes. Trump did as well as Romney did against Obama.
GOP runs Trump they will polarize the field more and you may see 100 million turn out with Biden Winning by 14 million and 150 electoral votes.
Trump is not viewed as a savior as much as MAGA wants him to be. Nobody has more negatives and a personality that could blow up at any time. GOP would be stupid to let this guy be the nominee after last time.

Res ipsa loquitur. The guy has somewhere between 50-60 percent support, and only one other candidate is even in double digits. Half the voters ain't crazy. There is a logical reason for him to have that kind of support. Ergo, if the support for him doesn't make sense to you, you're missing something pretty important. And while that maybe hard to work thru, there is nothing harder than making a compelling case that the #2 competitor with 25% support is a clearly superior alternative to the guy with 60% support.
The guy who wins the primary is, by definition, the guy who has the most support. The guy who has the most support IS your best candidate. We can quibble about that if there's a 51/49 split. But we are not anywhere near that scenario at this point in the race.

"The point here isn't to highlight the press's treatment of past presidents and presidential hopefuls, to shout "hypocrisy!" Rather, it's to state that the public deserves to know whether Biden is capable of performing the bare minimum required of his office. If anything falls under the heading of "public interest," this is surely it. And yet the broader press, the industry tasked with asking and exploring this question, has staked out a position of casual indifference.
But if ever there was a time to snap back to attention, to engage on the issue of "presidential fitness," this is it. There's a presidential election just around the corner. The time to get serious about "fitness," and to address it fairly and seriously, is now. Not for the sake of the media's credibility, but for the sake of the public, which has every right to know whether the leading candidates for president are actually capable of carrying out their duties."

Disclaimer - I made it up, because well, it's fun.
Joe Biden kicks Kamala Harris off the ticket. The dems slide Hillary Clinton in as VP then 25th Amendment Dementia Joe so the hag can be president.
She'll then run in 2024 and get elected by a "landslide" with RFK Jr has her running mate. After the election is signed sealed and delivered, RFK Jr will get the Arkansas flu and Hillary will appoint the Ghost of RBG as her 2nd chair

If the cocaine was found in the library on the ground floor Sunday, as the dispatch audio says, it is possible it was planted there by a tourist on Saturday. While tourists cannot enter the library, only look inside, someone might have tossed a bag in the room. You never know 😉
