The democrats and politicians will sale anything and everything if they think they can make a dollar
Which is why we are where we are today. It began with HW Bush and now we are a declining empire that doesnt make anything and totally reliant on globalism for our basic needs. We have been sold out by politicians.
It began long before HW Bush. C'mon man. You don't know your manufacturing economics very well if that's what your pushing.
I guess not. Just seems to have started in the early 90s then Nafta came along and jobs started leaving the country. Coulda been the 70s for all i know. It definitely accelerated in the 90s.

From Fox Business channel:
America is experiencing a supply chain backlog that has left dozens of ships anchored in the Pacific Ocean and store shelves across the country empty, and experts say every step in the supply chain is experiencing its own challenges, brought on by labor shortages and pandemic-induced e-commerce shopping sprees.

Both White House chief of staff Ron Klain and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieghave come under fire for their comments about the supply chain crisis, with Buttigieg claiming the shortage came from President Biden successfully guiding the economy "out of the teeth of a terrifying recession."
But experts say the causes, and solutions, to the supply chain crisis are multifaceted and date back further than Joe Biden's presidency.
Association of American Railroads (AAR) SVP of Policy and Economics John Gray told Fox News Digital that the crisis started in mid-summer last year "when the economy took the plunge that we saw during April and May."
The crisis is now affecting every industry in the supply chain, and each is taking steps to clear the backlog.

Do believe Biden's handlers are anti business and anti common sense.

Planning for a full blown recession by July .

Biden is no communist . For that matter he is no capitalist either .
Honestly doubt Biden even knows what he believes in most of the time .

The guy is obviously suffering from dementia . Can argue all day to what extent , but Biden is clearly mentally impaired .

Problem is.......you have an Anglo hating VP waiting for her chance to take power and change the world.

Harris isn't impaired.........the gal is damn clever.......and knows exactly what she wants to do .

Good post, Sir.

I agree. I don't think Biden is a Communist either. During the Presidential campaign, he promised to raise your taxes. I am more worried about the supposed 81 million voters that voted for him being Socialist /Communist.

Uncomfortable truth department: polling is pretty clear that a bunch of those knuckleheads will hold their nose and vote the other way the next two cycles. Trump approval exceeds Biden's right now.

Recession department: July might be too far out. Increasing talk the recession has already started. The

Dems can't stop it, because their not trying to fix anything. They're scratching & clawing with their last ounce of energy to make the great leap backward to socialism, planned economy. Gas prices soaring, supply chain straining partly due to trucking shortage and they're talking about an all electric trucking fleet by 2035. They are solving non-existent the problems they want to have (climate, racism, etc....) rather than the actual problems facing ordinary people.

I am shocked that tariffs, you know the way we tax consumers to protect unions, hasnt been a big part of the discussion. Our former president fixed the trade imbalance by getting us out of agreements with important trade countries and putting us in a position to pay more.

I don't understand why ending the tariffs wasn't in President Biden's Top 3 To-Do list. Sounds like a Too Party thing.

Because when you have a structural trade deficit, as we have for over 50 years, imports rise when the economy grows. So if you plan on a bunch of deficit spending, which will stimulate the economy (the only question being how much & for how long), tariffs are a rising source of government revenue.

Multiply that fundamental dynamic by 10 Trillion dollars or so, and there you have it.

any compromise by the "81 million" admin is considered a loss and they know it. I hope there is not a compromise.. right now they are focused on anything for a win(which is a political loss, remember how badly it went for Dems in the 2010 mid terms.)

They lost the house but held the Senate. And despite 2010 being a referendum in the Dem primaries on getting out of Afghanistan that didn't happen.

I don't see any movement by the Too Party to reduce spending.

Yes throwing up your hands and supporting no one with a viable chance of getting elected sure is a sound strategy.

I have a place near the beach in Playa del Carmen and think i will keep it for a year or two. I still pay taxes on income and property in Texas so abandon is a pretty dramatic word. If more people voted like me i think we would get better candidates. We see what we get when the vast majority just hold their nose.

You keep on voting for the same old same old and complain about the results.

Your wish for a viable third party is what one would call a pipe dream. It hasn't happened in the history of US elections and it won't anytime soon:

Those of us living in the States (and reality) have to deal with the consequences. But given your politics and where you reside, let's be honest - it really doesn't matter to you who is elected.

Take the next step and acknowledge that the power of the Too Party is what limits third parties: ballot access restrictions, debate bans, different rules for third parties. That is what you are supporting.

It's undemocratic.

And the consequences are obvious in the limits to our freedom.

That may be, but as long as it comes down to two candidates, I am going to vote for the one that I feel more closely represents my values, and is less a danger to me and my family. Only a fool would do otherwise.

Well, for one, I do not suffer under the delusion that a third party candidate will be viable at any foreseeable point in the future. I guess I could throw away my vote each and every year, and wish on a hope and a prayer that others will do the same. But I'd prefer to have my vote count for something rather than wish for a pipe dream that hasn't occurred in the 245 years of this country's existence.

Second, given that you live abroad, I live in a world where I will directly experience the consequences of a throw-away vote like yours. And I am experiencing those negative consequences with each passing day of this administration. The world is a more dangerous and more expensive place to live today than it was at any point under Trump, thanks to people like you.

That's reality. As others have alluded, you don't really have much skin in the game in Playa del Carmen.
