Here's the deal
I don't expect Baylor to sign Isaiah Hookfin at this time. I'm not going to go into details, but I can confirm that there was a slew of negative recruiting tactics that occurred today that essentially deceived Hookfin about the state of the current Baylor program to the point of not being able to reverse it. I didn't buy it when I heard of a similar report from a Texas outlet, but this is 100% accurate based on what I have been told. To be frank, I feel bad. Not because a prospect that I have a lot of respect for isn't signing with Baylor, but because this prospect isn't going to sign with the school that was his first choice based on negative recruiting. He was essentially committed to Baylor from the weekend he left his official visit the first week of December and never wavered. During his official visit to Texas, he affirmed that Baylor was where he wanted to be. So here we sit, 24 hours after a prospect was at home excited to make the decision he wanted to make, and he didn't have the opportunity to do it because of deception. Recruiting sucks.

On Isaiah Hookfin
Baylor isn't out of the woods with Isaiah Hookfin signing elsewhere, but there is still a chance the staff could get this done in the early period. I don't think it will be very quick (tonight) but they have Friday until get the LOI in their hands..
Strong close from Baylor creates buzz, but one large target still remains

Strong close from Baylor creates buzz, but one large target still remains
Baylor had a strong close to the opening day of the early signing period on Wednesday, but one prospect still lingers that would make a massive disturbance on the recruiting landscape.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
