JJ Joe: Baylor vs Texas State Coaching Match-Up

Both Texas State and Baylor have relatively young (Jake Spavital- 36 and Dave Aranda- 44) head coaches still learning on the job.  Spavital was an OC at A&M and WVU before taking the Texas State job.  He’s 5-19 in his first two seasons.  Aranda has been a top notch defensive coordinator at stops that included Wisconsin and LSU where he won a national championship before taking the Baylor job.
