Entering Saturday, Baylor and West Virginia find themselves in some similar territory despite records on different sides of the coin. Both programs are led by their defenses and coming off of disappointing losses. Each team has also suffered from a lack of consistency, run game, and penalties since Big 12 play started.

Dave Aranda and Neal Brown equally vented and demanded more from their team's recent performances in their respective weekly press conferences.
