Positives
- Love the play of Dale Bonner (7 points; 2-2 from 3; zero turnovers) off the bench. Jeremy Sochan gave great effort with 17 points and 8 rebounds as well.
- Cut it to 4 with about 4 minutes left on a James Akinjo lay-up.
- 17-22 from the free throw line on the road was good.
- Matthew Mayer was good in limited minutes (12 points and no turnovers in 17 minutes).
Needs Work
- 11 assists to 16 turnovers is not winning basketball.
- Did a poor job defending the paint. Alabama goes 22-28 in the paint and gets to the foul line 26 times. Not Baylor's standard defensively.
- Outrebounded 29-25. And that is despite Alabama not missing many shots.
- Allowing 1.26 points per possession. That may be the worst defensive performance in the last 3 years.
- Need to get healthy and have the full team practicing together as we get ready for the stretch run.
