The crowd has been late arriving due to road construction and parking issues

Good point. IH 35 & everything nearby is a huge mess. Before & after games it is helpful to be aware of alternate routes. Due to the construction, IH 35 often resembles a parking lot which is the norm in Austin. I bet there are quite a few out of towners still unused to it.

I don't say it often enough -- we are BLESSED to have Scott Drew and his staff. This was yet another remarkable job. Without Cryer, Flagler and JTT, we should have gotten our *** kicked today and yet we're somehow going to win by double digits. What an effort by this team.
First, I agree with your overall point.

But I think today also showed how special our two freshmen are. They were the two best players on the floor today and played like veterans in a tough situation.

I hope some of those who have beaten on KB's game in every thread show up here and acknowledge how pivotal he was on both ends of the floor today.
OK, I will address this. KB is going to be a special player, but he has growing up to do in a lot of areas. This is why I do not see him as a "one and done" player. Once again, shot consistency is critical, especially the turn around J and fade away J. He hit a couple today, but for a player so highly touted we need more of this and he needs to be virtually automatic from 6-10' when uncontested. He's not there yet.

His floor game and running the court are getting better but like Mayer, he needs to keep the dribble low. We are fortunate that when Akinjo sees it he gets the lob dunk. You almost expect that a couple times every game. I'd like to see the KB we saw at Oregon more often, aka the ability to almost take over a game. We could have used that assertiveness at TT.

Speaking of TT, everything I said we needed to do in the 2nd half to win is EXACTLY what TT did: 1) Turn up the D pressure, and 2) keep being aggressive on O. TT plays together as well as any team in the big 12.

Anyone that gets drafted in either round of the NBA draft is "done" with college or high school - regardless of how many years they have spent in college or high school. So that's the real question every season - will s/he get drafted, yes or no?
