Positives
- Baylor notches their 12th Quad 1 win of the year which is currently two more than any other team. Finishing 7-2 on the road in the toughest basketball conference in college basketball is an unbelievable feat especially given the injuries that the team has had to overcome.
- James Akinjo played an incredible all around game. 19 points was big, but also 8 rebounds, 7 assists and only 2 turnovers. The defense he played was terrific as well.
- Adam Flagler- cold blooded assassin. The 5-7 from 3 deflated that arena over and over.
- Flo Thamba and Kendall Brown with big contributions on the offensive end. Brown hitting those two three pointers was very clutch. Flo continues his improvement with 12 points and 6 rebounds but a couple key blocks as well.
- Mayer, Sochan and Bonner were quiet on the offensive end tonight but they brought it on the defensive end. Mayer was good on the defensive glass.
- The Bears gave up 11 offensive rebounds but the percentage of defensive rebounds (71%) was terrific. When you lay as many bricks as Texas does, you are going to get some offensive rebounds but the Bears limited those.
Needs Work
- Turning it over 12 times is not ideal but this team was playing through some fatigue. The better coached team won. Hard to argue with the effort or execution on the road.
