• BU is 16-2 in NCAA Second Round play.
• Baylor has never faced South Dakota - who picked up its first NCAA Tournament win in program history with Friday's victory over Ole Miss.

• For the first time in program history, Baylor had two players pull down 14 rebounds in an NCAA Tournament game. NaLyssa Smith and Queen Egbo each had 14.
• Jaden Owens tied her career high with three steals vs. Hawaii.
• Baylor tied the fifth-best mark in program history in an NCAA Tournament game with 56 boards.

NCAA NOTABLES
• Baylor was named a No. 2 seed, marking the 11th-straight year that BU is at least a two seed or higher.

• NaLyssa Smith, named to the all-tournament team, went off for a career-best 37 points in the semifinal win over Oklahoma. That mark is good for second in Big 12 championship semifinal history.
• Caitlin Bickle also had a career day against Oklahoma with 21 points.
• Baylor's 91 points against the Sooners tied for fourth-most all-time in a Big 12 semifinal contest.

• Smith has already been named a first-team All-American by three different entities this season - Sports Illustrated, The Athletic and the Associated Press.
• Smith is third in the country with 24 double-doubles. That mark sets a program record for double-doubles in a single season. She's third in BU history with 52 career double-doubles.
• The senior is top-10 nationally with 22.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.
• Smith reached the 2,000 career point / 1,000 career rebound mark this season.

Come on girls. Claw your way back in this thing.

Big time moving screen on 34 on their last layup.

That was a terrible half for us.

Hopefully the law of averages comes into play. But the girls have some work cut out for them. Terrible half.

2nd quarter much better than 1st but second half needs to be much better

We have the talent to dominate this game but need to play smarter. I trust our coaches to make the necessary halftime adjustments.

The adjustments in the second half will certainly determine a lot with NC

Making some really stupid offensive mistakes, and also a step slow on d. Better correct both in 2nd half.

I worry about the last two minutes of the half. Had it down to 4. Couldn't match up on defense and it ballooned again

I think our girls are used to how Big 12 refs call games, and are really struggling with the refs today as well. A lot of rough play isn't being called.

Adjustments won't matter if the shots don't fall.

Jaden may be injured. She turned her ankle and has not been back in.

SD will pack it in on D and date us to keep shooting treys. We can't force passes into double and triple teams. Better start making shots. In hindsight giving up 34 isn't too bad. Scoring 23 is horrific.

Our guards are just too short. Glad recruiting is addressing that.

Still, won the second quarter. Showing signs of life. We can do this!

If this is the new offense it sucks

We dont know what to do

It's time to address a couple of things. Unless the Ladies come out with their hair on fire we're going down. First thing… I/we have always said the Three was Kim's nemesis. Well maybe it's simply a Defense issue. You come into a game with a team that is absolutely great with the Three, you KNOW it's coming, a team that has nothing to lose, they want to knock off a "supposedly" elite team/program and BOOM! You're grabbing your backside while they pounce on you. Yep, it ain't the first time it's happened. So maybe it's simply a Baylor Program defensive weakness.

Second thing… HOW COULD YOU NOT BE READY to play when you KNOW all this?!!! BU was FLAT out of the gate.I know every day the team walks by a row of Championship trophies so maybe, just maybe, things get into their head thinking they don't have to put out effort until the Sweet Sixteen. Embarrassing!

I know, I thought we were supposed to have a lot of movement, and screens. I don't see a lot of that. We get the ball down the court and just sit and wait for the defense to get set. Then we throw the ball around the perimeter some and miss the three-point shot. Pretty pathetic effort in the first half. Mulkey says, how do you like me now.

I'm having flashbacks of our past losses to Oregon State, Mississippi State, and ugh… Louisville with SD's 3 point success.

42-28 with 5 mins in 3Q. We are almost in desperation mode.

3-point shooting
SD: 8-14
BU: 4-16

I think you mean "attempted". If taking constant 3's is CNC's game plan, we are doomed in this game. We can get lucky on a few, but if we can't score in the paint and get stops, we are done for this season.

C'mon Bears. WAKE UP. There's still time but you gotta value every possession from here on out.

At some point, you're gonna have to bring Egbo in and just play it out.
