My bet is Oliver Luck. He was hired as a consultant to the conference and served as AD for West Virginia. Hope so anyway as he is a real class act.

Does that resume make you want Luck Big 12 commissioner? Certainly a nice resume and that leaves out stuff like Rhodes Scholar, which is a big deal. But I'm not sold that resume is what the conference needs.

Names I heard (before Mack's extension) were Mack, Oliver Luck, Chris Plonsky (she) from UT and Bill Byrne Alabama AD.
