We'll never know how the 2021 Baylor Football season would have gone if Matt Rhule decided to stay in Waco versus pursuing his NFL dream. However, we saw how the season went in reality with Dave Aranda at the helm as Rhule wrapped up his second season in Carolina.

And no one was happier for this year's Bears than their former head coach.

Matt Rhule dumped on Baylor. Can we please move on from him too. Terrible coach with zero loyalty

Rhule, in retrospect, was solid for us. This year's draft showed that the players he recruited and developed at

Baylor were excellent...

Yes, Rhule left Baylor for the NFL.

At the time it looked bad for us.

We have Aranda now,

I would rather have Aranda.

Rhule helped us rebuild and then did us a solid by leaving,

We have Aranda, Our football future is bright. Sic 'em Bears!!!

This board is full of clowns. Matt Rhule saved our football program. Without his three years and the foundation he laid, God knows where we'd be right now. But we damn sure wouldn't be celebrating Dave Aranda's tenure or reminiscing about a Big 12 championship and Sugar Bowl victory.

Rhule's record at Baylor:

19-20 overall
13-14 conference
6-6 preseason
1-2 post-season
5-19 vs teams that finished with a winning record
0-8 vs. teams that finished ranked in final coaches poll

So you can say he had 5 good wins in 3 years, but he did win time-of-possession almost every game.

We all know what this is about...if he wasn't a damn Yankee and talked with a drawl and spit tobacco they'd be wetting their panties missing him .

And this fascination with Liberty?!..They equate it with San Jose St in 80 or Rice in 1991...childish.

Why is it so difficult for any of you detractors to accept the fact that without Rhule we would NOT have been Big 12 Champs this year? Fact. Yeah he accepted a job whose program was decimated and we lost to Liberty. He ended his tenure by going to the Sugar Bowl and handing the keys to the title to Aranda. It was Dave's to lose. He didn't. We owe a ton to both Rhule (the draft was the proof) and the title to Dave.

Some of you want Rhule to come out on ESPN and say Baylor sucks and I never should have gone there and then you would really be pissed.

Let me add some thanks to Jim Grobe, too.

The Boise State bowl game was joy.
