As always, keep track of both the stats and roster countdowns in the Offseason Hub!

Jacob Gall is a sixth-year senior offensive lineman from Cincinnati, Ohio. After transferring to Baylor from the University of Buffalo in 2021, Gall earned AP All-Big 12 Second Team Center last season for the Bears. He, Connor Galvin, Khalil Keith, and Grant Miller all elected to return to Baylor for the 2022 season. Both the offensive and defensive lines will be stacked with experience, depth, and talent in the upcoming season. While at Baylor, Gall will be majoring in business administration and he made the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the fall of 2021.

Baylor returns 4 of 5 starters on the offensive line.

During the 2021 season, Gall started all 14 games at center and played a total of 938 snaps. He allowed 5 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and no sacks on the season. Gall solidified an offensive line that was recognized as one of the strongest parts of the team. He was honored with FWAA All-America Second Team selection, All-Big 12 Honorable Mention at Offensive Line, AP All-Big 12 Second Team Center, and Dave Campbell’s All-Texas Second Team OL.

Prior to transferring to Baylor, Gall spent four seasons at Buffalo from 2017-2020. He played in 33 games, started 13 of those, and was a part of three bowl teams that earned two MAC East titles.

In 2020, Gall anchored an offensive line that only allowed one sack on the season and was second in the nation in rushing yards per game (287.4). Pro Football Focus graded him as the top left guard in all of Division I (90.5). The great offensive line play helped lead Buffalo to a 6-1 record, including a berth in the MAC Championship game and a Camellia Bowl victory over Mashall.

Gall started 13 games at Buffalo before transferring to Baylor.

As a sophomore in 2019, Gall started only one of the 13 games but was a key piece in the Bulls’ offensive line rotations. In 2018, Gall appeared in 13 games and started five at right guard as a redshirt freshman. UB posted a 10-4 record and appeared in both the MAC Championship and the Dollar General Bowl. The team rushed for 2,648 yards and had 36 touchdowns on the season; both were school records.

Coming out of high school at Archbishop Moeller in Cincinnati, Gall was a 4-year starting offensive lineman for the perennial powerhouse. He was named to the Greater Catholic League South First Team twice in his career. He was a team captain during his tenure, and as a freshman, he helped lead the Crusaders to the 2013 State Championship. Gall was a two-star recruit and committed to the University of Buffalo over Toledo. Once he got to Buffalo, he redshirted the 2017 season.
