Since the Baylor Football program began in 1899, the Bears have had 28 men serve as head coach of the Bears. Dave Aranda is the latest and perhaps could end up as the greatest. He has already guided the program to its best record ever at 12-2 last season, and there is a good amount of buzz and momentum surrounding the program heading into 2022 as the favorites in the Big 12.
Coach Aranda has a 14-9 record or .609 winning percentage, which is good for 8th best in Baylor history. His tenure in the position is already longer than 11 others, and at the end of this upcoming season, he will have been the Bears’ head coach for as many or more seasons than 15 former head coaches.
