18 Days till Kickoff: Baylor’s #18 Jordan Nabors
Jordan Nabors is a freak athlete true freshman receiver from Rockwall, Texas. Baylor’s website has him listed at 5-foot-11, 182 pounds, and he should have three years of eligibility remaining past this season, or four if he elects to redshirt.
Our own Travis Roeder thinks Nabors is worth keeping an eye on this fall and says, “I think a great role for Nabors this year could be as an inside receiver on passing downs when Baylor likes to play out of empty (5 wide receivers). He’s crazy explosive and, at worst, can be a guy who runs great “clear routes” where he occupies safeties to open up stuff underneath. I think Monaray Baldwin is Baylor’s primary inside receiver, and Seth Jones profiles similar to Nabors as well, but if Baldwin gets injured or Jones doesn’t put it together this year, Nabors could occupy that role. Or he could just redshirt. We’ll see.”
At Rockwall Heath High School, Nabors dominated during his All-District senior campaign, totaling 52 receptions for 1,084 yards and 11 touchdowns. He finished his high school career with 111 receptions and 2,049 total receiving yards. Nabors was a three-star recruit and the No. 137 player in Texas, according to 247. Baylor fended off a plethora of other P5 schools, such as Texas Tech, Michigan State, and Florida State, to secure Nabor’s commitment to the class of 2021.
