The No. 16 Baylor Bears (3-1) return home to face Oklahoma State (3-0) on Saturday at McLane Stadium in a rematch of the 2021 Big 12 Championship game.. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT and will be aired live on FOX.

Analysis of the Week

Former Baylor QB J.J. Joe

This week will be a markedly different approach for Coach Grimes and Blake Shapen. The schedule is very similar to last year when Baylor went from playing an Iowa State defense that plays a little more bend-but-don't-break to a Cowboy defense that attacked our offense limiting the Gerry Bohannon-led offense to 280 Total yards.

Well, this Cowboy defense while under a new Defensive Coordinator Derek Mason remains an aggressive style of defense, especially on passing downs. The strength of the Cowboy defense has to be upfront. The Cowboys have a very experienced group that is highlighted by three (3) Sixth Year Seniors in Brock Martin (DE), Brendon Evers (DT), and Sione Asi (DT) plus one 5th year senior in Tyler Lacy (DE). These guys are men, I mean men. Their average age is over 24 years old. So our experienced offensive line will meet a very formidable front on Saturday.

I don't understand why OSU didn't pitch the ball back 5 yards on 1st and goal from the 1 inch mark?

They are all on the premium board, and it's one reason I canceled my subscription. I don't have time to read a bunch of 20 something year old 'experts' tell me about how we are secretly great. The premium board was seriously talking playoffs during the off-season. Playoffs. I kid you not
LMAO. you have to be the homerest of homers to use the word "playoff" with these coaches and players. im not even sure if there's a draft pick after 4.5 games on either side of the ball.

Everyone likes to complain about our fanbase's apathy when it comes to attendance, but a big reason for that is crapping the bed during big games like this one.

PB has won twice as many titles but Grimes road the baylor D to a sugar bowl W so hmmmm

OSt looks better than us, but this is a pretty even game. Personally, Grimes play calling has been a let down.

What's frustrating is that we are averaging 6+ yards per carry. We have had a couple of important drops and dumb play calls that ended drives. I hope we can tackle better and get a sack in the 2nd half.

On the 4th and 1 where we were stopped, why in the world would we pass the ball on 3rd down if we knew we were going on 4th down especially after averaging 6+ yards a carry. I thought after we didn't complete the 3rd down pass that we should have kicked the FG.

3 missed blocks covered and the score would be very different. The stats versus score says OSU has been able to capitalize during big moments… many on Sanders legs.

What will happen is that the offense will do just enough to take the lead by two points, then OSU will drive down the field and score an easy touchdown, and everyone on the premium board will talk about how crap our defense is and forget the mindblowingly terrible first half from the offense.
