The roster has so many flaws. I think Drew needs to start Ojianwuna over Thamba and even experiment with a four guard line-up.
If you think our defense is bad now, just wait until we trot four guards out there.
Not just 4 guards, but *THESE* 4 guards. It cannot be overstated the downgrade defensively from KB to Cryer in the starting lineup. Flagler tries and is smart, but lacks length and is below average defensively. Keyonte has his good moments but lacks consistent intensity on that end, while Cryer and Love are truly awful defenders no way to sugarcoat it. Compounding the situation is when opposing guards blow by our matador perimeter defense, our inside players are a defensive liability as well. Massive dropoff from MM / Sochan to Bridges / Lohner. Thamba is several steps slow and has regressed considerably. Josh O has huge upside but is still learning through freshman mistakes and is foul prone. So when our perimeter D gets burned over and over again, our inside guys are left even more vulnerable to picking up cheap fouls or giving up weak-side rebounds when out of position to help or to help the helper. Really looking forward to what Ja'Kobe Walter will bring next year, he is an elite perimeter defender who will stop teams from penetrating at will.

So far in conference play, we've seen:

1. An absolute blowout on the road
2. A horrific 17-point choke at home

Forget the tournament right now, where can we win a game with this defense?

Very few wins if any with this defense. Just a bad team right now with little hope of getting much better. Packed house at home, build a 17 point lead then blow it and lose......don't complain when the seats are empty.

Man seeing Cryer getting blown by twice in a row by Mills was really tough to watch. He was left just standing there with his pants down

Sticking with 7-11. We may outscore some teams but last night assured no lead is safe. We have a relatively easy start to conference play and are already 0-2. Can't lose games like this at home and expect to compete for the top of the conference. WV and OU right now are with us in that bottom tier of the conference. Still 16 games to go but it doesn't look great. Relying on your team to score 90 to hopefully win isn't a recipe for success and that's exactly what we're going to need night in and night out.

The good news, if there is any, is there's only one Mike Miles in this league. There are other guys who can penetrate, get to the rim and finish, but no one does it better than he does.

There's a reason TCU is so good on the break, and his name is Mike Miles. That dude is always in attack mode.

15 TO's....that has been one of the primary issue's this year.. You can't be competitive when you are wasting opportunities because of silly mistakes. How many TO's last night from guys not catching balls (I counted 5)...

We lack the inside force to drill a guy like Miles. You want to bring the ball to the bucket - Well, you are going to pay for that decision. Make him think twice about it.

We don't collapse on drives and look LOST on switches...

It's difficult basketball to watch.

What gets to most of us, I think, is that we were really hoping that Drew could give Baylor a bright spring after a really disappointing football season, not give us a second nightmare .

What do we have to look forward to? Not our baseball team.

WBB is looking great now with a 2-0 start to conference play. They just beat a ranked OU on the road. It was beautiful.

I wasn't kidding when I suggested the men should watch that fine. Obviously, men & women are different & play the game differently but the ladies were mostly great on offense & defense.

Two TOs last night by guys simply not knowing where they are on the court. Bonner and Lohner.

Lohner does it routinely. Bonner doesn't.

Lohner is a skill-less hack unfortunately. He plays hard, but that's about his only positive quality (as a player, of course; I'm sure he's a good dude).

In the last 25 seconds, Baylor had the ball twice but did not score, TCU had it once and did score.

Shot selection
Player position
Ball movement

all need to be reconsidered.
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier

Lohner is not the D1 caliber of player for Baylor. I am confused by his placement as much as he is trying to remember where he is on the court. Game pace last night was too much for him but Drew had to play him because our players are so out of shape.
