Baylor defensive coordinator Matt Powledge wasn't gone for a long time, but he did have a good time in Eugene, Oregon, last season. It was a valuable one-year experience as Co-DC and safeties coach on Dan Lanning's Ducks staff. One that opened his eyes to different methods and styles of coaching and recruiting at a top program.
