Fort Bend Marshall Four-Star Safety Joshua Lair Schedules Baylor Official Visit

Fort Bend (TX) Marshall High School safety Josh Lair‍ has set an official visit to Baylor University, scheduled to take place from June 9th to June 11th.

Lair, rated as a four-star recruit, has been a top priority for Baylor Head Coach Dave Aranda and Defensive Coordinator Matthew Powledge in their efforts to fortify the safety position in this recruiting cycle.

Standing at an impressive 6-foot-2 and weighing 185 pounds, Lair had a breakout junior season, showcasing his elite traits and skills on the field. Throughout the season, he accumulated impressive statistics, including 54 tackles, 13 for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles. Notably, he also returned one interception for a 12-yard touchdown, highlighting his ability to make game-changing plays.

In addition to his upcoming visit to Baylor, Lair has also scheduled official visits to other prominent programs. He will be visiting LSU from June 2nd to June 4th, Texas from June 16th to June 18th, and Washington from June 23rd to June 25th. Furthermore, he intends to visit Texas A&M, although the specific date for that visit has not yet been determined.

Lair's recruitment has drawn significant attention from top college football programs, and his official visits indicate the high level of interest he has generated. With his impressive physical attributes and standout performance on the field, Lair possesses the potential to make an impact at the collegiate level.

Joshua Lair holds a high three-star rating of 89 according to On3 and 247, while SicEm365 considers him a four-star prospect.
