Big boy is going to put some hurt on big 12 foes
Caleb Lohner, an rising senior basketball player at Baylor University, was interviewed by Ashley Hodge for SicEm365 Athlete+. Caleb is an exciting prospect with two years of eligibility left. The interview focused on his summer development, his experiences, and his role on the team.
Caleb expressed that his summer had been busy and productive. He took some classes, traveled to California for leisure, and spent a lot of time playing basketball, golfing, and surfing in Waco.
In terms of basketball, Caleb and his teammates have been showing a competitive fire, and he believes that this year's team has a different, but positive energy compared to the previous year's team. He acknowledged the presence of younger players who are hungry to compete and prove themselves.
The interview highlighted several of Caleb's new teammates and their skills. RayJ Dennis, an experienced point guard, impressed Caleb with his court vision and work ethic. Jayden Nunn showcased toughness and defensive abilities, making him a valuable teammate. Ja'Kobe Walter displayed humility and an elite offensive skill set, and Yves Missi impressed with his shot-blocking and athletic abilities. Miro Little has been a good ball-handler and shooter.
Regarding the trip to France, Caleb expressed excitement about the opportunity to experience a different part of the world. He was looking forward to sightseeing, enjoying good food, and bonding with his teammates during the trip.
The interview also touched on Caleb's academic pursuits. He is studying corporate communications at Baylor and has enjoyed the smaller class sizes and more personal connections with teachers.
Caleb's role on the team involves leadership, especially given his senior status. He aims to be a strong defender, set defensive goals for himself, and make the Big 12's defensive team. He has been working on his shooting mechanics and wants to be a versatile player who can contribute on both ends of the court.
