haha. have you changed your mind at all that establishing the passing game opened up the lanes for the runners with the (sub-par) players we have? or is this just a really bad cincin for you?
I don't think this is a winning team, obviously. But those are the types of things that make losing teams winning ones.

In other words, it's a positive, for a team that hasn't done those things often enough the last two years.

Because we keep trying to throw the corner fade when in the red zone. Hasn't worked 4 times today. Just bad red zone offense.

I just looked at the stats and Cincy has nearly 300 yards rushing and we don't have 100 yards rushing. I'm hopeful we can have a long drive here to win the game.

And I'm not against throwing to set up the run. My only point has been that throwing over and over won't solve our offensive issues. We'll still face a ton of third-and-longs and struggle in the red zone, which we have.

I think we have to be able to run the ball a little bit to win games. Whether we pass to set up the run or not, we have to be able to establish a ground attack.

Teams that can't run have trouble finishing drives in the red zone. It's really that simple.

This offense is so weird because we have the same weaknesses as an Air Raid team while trying to be a power running team. It's odd as hell, but that's what happens when you can't block.
