WACO, Texas – Baylor men's basketball signed three players to National Letters of Intent during the fall signing window, head coach Scott Drew announced Thursday.

Jason Asemota, Noah Boyed and Rob Wright all inked letters of intent to play with the Bears in 2024-25. Asemota and Wright sign as five-star prospects, giving Drew and the Bears at least one five-star signee in each of the last four classes, according to Rivals and 247 Sports.

“We are really excited about this class,” Drew said. “Not only do they bring in tremendous talent and high-level experience, but they also complement each other extremely well. With Jason, you get a versatile wing player with excellent range and athleticism. Rob Wright was the Gatorade Player of the Year in Pennsylvania for a reason. He has a great feel for the game and can really get after it on the defensive end. Noah adds some really good size to our front court. Coming from the junior college level, I believe he fits what we want to do really well. As with all of our guys we bring in here, I think the Baylor family will enjoy getting to know these guys and watching them compete on a nightly basis."

Asemota of Hillcrest Prep in Phoenix, Ariz., has been committed to the Bears since August of 2022 and is rated as a five-star prospect by both 247 Sports and Rivals. The 6-foot-8 small forward is rated as the 29th-best player in the 2024 class by ESPN. As a sophomore, he averaged 21.3 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.3 blocks for the Bruins. During his junior year, the versatile wing competed on the Overtime Elite circuit with Hillcrest, averaging 15.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals. He also attended the NBPA Top-100 camp in 2022 and 2023. Asemota chose Baylor over Memphis, LSU, Arizona State, Stanford, Ohio State, Kansas and Oregon.

Wright is playing his senior season at Montverde Academy after a stellar prep career at Neumann-Goretti High School in Pennsylvania. The Gatorade Player of the Year in the Keystone State in 2022-23, Wright led the Saints to a 22-3 record and a berth in the Class 4A state tournament. As a junior, he averaged 23.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists, helping his team reach the state championship game. En route to a state title in 2021-22, Wright averaged 22.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.4 steals, earning 2022 Class 4A Player of the Year in Pennsylvania. Rated as the No. 3 player in the state of Pennsylvania, he was the MVP of both the 2023 Iolani Classic in Hawaii and the Spalding Hoophall Classic in Massachusetts.

Boyed, a junior college big man rounds out the fall signing class from McCook Community College in Nebraska. Originally from Monchy, St. Lucia, Boyed played in 31 games with 27 starts for the Indians in 2022-23. He finished third on the team, averaging 10.9 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, making a team-leading 56.7% of his shots from the field.

Drew and the current version of the Bears, off to a 4-0 start for the fourth time in the last six seasons, return to action at the NIT Season Tip-Off at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., where they open against Oregon State on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
