Nicholls looks to be a step up from Gardner Webb, UMKC and John Brown. They've played teams tough and beat LSU. Baylor probably wins handily but at least they aren't a bad cupcake

My prediction… with 2 min left Austin Sacks is jackin' 3s.

While I'm sure we're more than capable of outscoring this team, I'm still hoping to see some improved team D and rebounding (especially on the defensive end) in this game.

Multiple point blank misses after great ball movement by us keeping this game from being lopsided early.

This team is awful. How on earth did they beat LSU? Is LSU that bad?

LSU is bad. But I don't think this game is indicative of Nicholls. We're making them look worse than they are
DanaDane
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Makes sense. We have the offensive firepower to make a lot of people look really bad.

Did you hear King say their HC is 28!!
DanaDane

haha. I like King but he throws out so many incorrect things it forced me to go look it up. I assumed he meant 38, but lo and behold there it was -- 28! Amazing.

Yeah he looks younger than sone of his players. Good for him. It'll be interesting to see where he is in a decade

Dennis is a smooth operator

We can score in a lot more ways than last year.

What I love so much about this team on offense is that they are all unselfish. In most games when you're winning this much, the selfish player usually rises to the top and tries to pad his stats. We're up by 25 and we have guys wheeling it around the perimeter to the open guy, often passing up what could have been a legit shot for himself.

Not Walter's night. Shot is looking good but lid on the bucket for him

I love EJ. One of my favorite Bears of all time.

That said, he's a liability on defense when he's on the floor, in his current state. Nicholls is relentlessly attacking him in the paint.

I have been Loehner's harshest critic, but I can admit when I am wrong and in this case I would love to be wrong. It was awesome to see how hard he's worked on developing his 3 point shot. If he can hit that consistently he will definately be an asset as opposed to a liability on offense.

The beat LSU at LSU and before tonight their biggest loss was 13 at Mississippi St. They are not awful.

There seems to be something special about this group. Their soulful and emotional leader is, of course, EJ and how could we have anyone better than him to fill that spot?

My hope is that in a very important game in March Madness, EJ hits a big shot or gets a big rebound. He has earned that opportunity.

There also seems to be something special about the way this group is put together. Yes, I know that when conference play begins (and when we play Duke and MSU) the rotation will tighten, but this group seems to have a cool cameraderie (sure hope I spelled that right). Guys sitting on the bench for extended periods can change that, but I just don't see it happening.

Injuries can and will happen. Our depth is VERY good this year, especially at the guard spot. Grimes is pretty darned good, and he's the fifth or sixth guard. There are years he would have started or been the first guard off of the bench.

Lohner is going to make some important plays. We have two athletic bigs and two athletic wings. Everybody can run the floor. We have six or more guys who can get 20 on a given night. Langston Love can score...he looks like the guy I followed on the internet in high school.

This group is not great at defense (yet) but they seem to want to try to play good defense, and they have athleticism and depth to do that.

They seem (sure hope it's as it seems) to really enjoy playing together. We start two true freshmen and two transfers, along with a second year guy. I suppose that's the future of college basketball, but Drew just seems to find the pieces that fit together.

There is a chance that this group can have a deep run. Sure hope so.

How in the world did Baylor luck into Scott Drew....a true miracle worker.
