They are getting hard to watch .. missing high school shots & no blocking out .. it's a mess
We definitely need to work on rebounding
Even LPB seems off
AMES, Iowa – The No. 4 Baylor women’s basketball team makes its way to Hilton Coliseum on Saturday to face off against Iowa State at noon.
The game is available for streaming via Big 12 Now on ESPN+. A live radio broadcast will be available on ESPN Central Texas(1660 AM/92.3 FM), and live in-game updates will be provided via Twitter and live stats.
STARTING FIVE
Saturday’s meeting between Baylor and Iowa State is the lone contest between the two programs this season.
Dre’Una Edwards and Aijha Blackwell have each finished in double figures on the boards in four games this year. Blackwell has turned in double-digit rebounds in two-straight games heading into Saturday’s contest at Iowa State.
Sarah Andrews has 207 career 3-pointers and needs 52 more to break Odyssey Sim’s record of 258. The senior guard has hit at least two from range in 14 of 15 games this year.
Baylor is one of four teams in the country, joining Kansas, Mississippi State and Louisville, with five 1,000-point scorers on its roster. Yaya Felder is the latest member of the 1,000-point club after recording the final point in BU’s 87-58 win over Houston on Jan. 6.
The Bears were named the NCAA.com Team of the Week on Tuesday, Jan. 9 for their impressive wins over then-No. 23 TCU and Houston at home last week.
SCOUTING THE SERIES WITH IOWA STATE
Baylor is 33-11 all-time against Iowa State and 12-6 in Ames. The Bears and the Cyclones faced each other three times last season with Iowa State taking two of three meetings, including the
quarterfinal matchup in at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championships in Kansas City.
In Baylor’s win over the Cyclones last season, BU outlasted then-No. 12 Iowa State, 76-70, at Hilton Coliseum behind Sarah Andrews’ team-high 21 points. Over the last 10 meetings, Baylor holds the slim 6-4 advantage in the series.

I don't see what Lety brings to this team.

I didn't like hearing crooks is a freshman
Shades of Courtney Paris
On her last shot, she just backed down Lety by putting her butt in her stomach. Lety just needed to keep her hands/arms straight up. Crooks probably would have missed it. Lety bailed her out.ScottS said:BearFan33 said:

With the new rules you just wave a big snail check in front of her and she is in green and gold….
I would have liked to see Lety front her and dare them to throw it to Crooks over her. They had already screwed that up a couple of times. But she is a freshman and needs development. I don't think Lauren Cox looked all that great her freshman year, far from what she turned out to be. Not comparing the two, but the college game is different. Hope we are able to give her more playing time prior to the tournaments.True Grit said:On her last shot, she just backed down Lety by putting her butt in her stomach. Well, at least we know what kind of team we DON"T have. Such poor playing. No defense and the turnovers are just unacceptable.
Me too, but there are several very talented, more experienced guards ahead of her (Andrews, Walker, Felder) and she's having to make a big adjustment going from ISU to BU. Maybe its just a sophomore slump, but I suspect she'll get more minutes as time goes by & the players ahead of her move on.TyClone said:
Very surprised to see Denae not getting more playing time. Losing her really hurt us Cyclone fans...
I know this is on the WBB board, but after watching last night's game you could be describing the men's team. If you have a problem with how the women played you probably should go post similar comments on the men's board. Actually yesterday it could be argued the men played worse even though they scraped by considering they were playing at home against a relatively weaker team that wasn't at full strength than the women played on the road.BBWCBear said:HuttoBear said:

Deja vu. Last year raising it's ugly head.
