Positives

  • Only one turnover in the second half for the Bears against a top 10 defensive team that creates turnovers.   Finished with 19 assists and 9 turnovers, great numbers
  • Finished out a close game, huge win as all road wins are
  • Langston Love, legend.  What a game by him- 24 points on 11 shots with 7 rebounds
  • Free throw defense was spectacular (1-7 for UCF).  UCF was on fire from 3 but Baylor outscored them by 19 at the free throw line.
  • Jalen Bridges with a really good floor game, 12 points; 6 rebounds; 5 assists and only 1 turnover.
  • Loved Ja’Kobe Walter’s second half on both ends of the court after being a bit missing in action the first half.
  • Yves and Josh played their roles well.
  • Proud of our defensive rebounding (70% against a good offensive rebounding team).

Needs Work

  • Still too many lapses on defense, the numbers don’t lie.  We need to make huge strides the next 30 days in that area.
  • Where has our offensive rebounding gone?  UCF is a good rebounding team but we don’t seem to be working as hard in that area as we have in years past.

Gritty win.  Bring on the Cyclones!  We owe them.
