#25 BYU (19-7; 7-6) defeats #11 Baylor (19-7; 8-5) 78-71 behind Ally Khalifa's 14 points; 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Next up for the Bears is a big game against Big12 favorite Houston on Saturday
Liked
- Jalen Bridges with a solid game (15 points and 8 rebounds)
- RayJ Dennis now 24 assists and 4 turnovers in the last 3 games
- Yves Missi’s continued aggression
- Loved that the Bears drove the ball to the rim a lot which led to 21 free throw attempts
- BYU’s no sight of trash campus and their system for getting 19,000 people out of parking lots after the game. Two things that should be studied.
- Goat milk ice cream, don’t knock it until you try it!
- Seeing Keyonte George and Dennis Lindsey at the game
Didn’t Like
- Our inability to execute the game plan
- Getting smashed on the glass (39-30) and with backdoor cuts
- Gave up 1.26 points per possession. Not winning basketball
- Lack of ball movement (8 assists, all from RayJ) and 9 turnovers in the game
- Langston Love reinjuring his ankle
- The second foul on Jayden Nunn, looked like a terrible call from my vantage point.
Life on the road is hard. UCONN has looked dominant and they got rolled by 19 at Creighton. Hopefully we do the same to Houston. Sic’Em
