No treatment needed. At least not this week. Maybe next week. I still find it hard to believe that there aren't a couple of people on here who are not comfortable with the fact we had to shot 70 pct from 3 and that a key player had to go to the locker room before we pulled ahead. If I'm the only one, so be it.

My name is Seth. I'm not coach Terry. If you don't find it at least mildly disturbing that it took an historic 3pt performance to beat UT and that the win was just business as usual, then I guess we'll disagree. UT is the one team apart from maybe Houston I just don't want to play, in part because they may have that one player who is the best player on the court. And notice how things changed after
Disu went to the locker room. After that occurred, we were able to stop them. Before then we had gotten hot offensively but we're still bad defensively. There's a reason I said what I said. UT may not be best in Big 12 and I'll admit that I overshot things there. But playing them is not on my list of favorite activities.
And when we were at Austin, we played poorly, and Texas still needed a last second shot to win. I just think you're really giving a 19-11 Texas team way too much credit.

Why does he say needed every call. We won by 8. What am I missing here? Is there a single call that could get a team 8 points?
And Texas made the final shot, a 3-pointer. We were up by 11 with 12 seconds left.

We actually played pretty well in that first game. We shot 47.9 percent from the field, 50 percent from 3 and only had 10 turnovers.

They just played one shot bettter.

These teams match up pretty well with one another. It makes for good offensive basketball games when they meet.

And UT made their lead with similar shooting to start the game. If Texas shoots their normal percentage in the first half it is likely they aren't even ahead at halftime. Streaks in a basketball game are a very large part of it. It happens frequently.

Fine. You may be right. I am still worried about them when they are at full strength, particularly the ease with which they can shred us. However, I won't deny that Baylor has improved significantly over the past 3 weeks as well.

Part of this crap on my part is that I don't like offensive shootouts. I much preferred it when Matt Rhule would win 21-13 than when Briles won 61-58.

I like teams like our 2021 team or this year's Houston's team that defend and score at a high level. But those are rare. In the absence of a capable defensive team, I'm really glad we have the ability to outscore quality opponents.

I prefer it when we simply win, and don't make excuses for our losses. But Aranda will show this year if he has learned from the last two debacles.
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier

On my Sling app, they show a replay of last night's game available on ESPN3. It's on now since the Sunflower Showdown is now available on ESPN.

It should be available to anyone using the ESPN app without going to a specific channel.

It was funny after the game when they played a clip from a song with the line, "until the cows come home"! I'm not sure which song it was but I did I enjoy that extra touch after Monday night's game.

Meh. We're Texas's Super Bowl. They always come out like a house on fire, and then fade late. It's just too bad we let one get away in Austin this year. Would have loved to send those chumps out without a tourney appearance.
