Positives
- Great defense by the Bears holding Cincy to 56 points. The zone gave the Bearcats fits.
- Energy from Caleb Lohner and Jayden Nunn in the first half kept Baylor close after another slow start. Lohner comes off the bench for 5 points and 7 rebounds.
- Second half efforts from Missi, Walter, Bridges and Dennis. After combining for 1-16 from the field in the first half and only 8 points among them, they flipped the script in the second half going a combined 15-27 from the field and yielding 40 points between the 4.
- Good job getting to the foul line. The Bears hit 12 more free throws than Cincy which was the margin of victory.
- Another dominating rebounding performance against a great rebounding team. Cincy is one of the best rebounding teams in the country and the Bears controlled the glass (39-27).
Needs Work
- Slow starts, can’t do it against better teams. Fall down 10-1 tonight.
- Too many turnovers: 15 total but 10 of those in the first half. Hopefully playing tonight will lead to a better start against Iowa State.
- Need more of a killer instinct mindset when you are up 14. Allowed Cincy to go on a 10-0 run and get back in the game.
