BREAKING: Guard Langston Love Not Expected to Play in NCAA Tournament
Head coach Scott Drew announced on Wednesday that Baylor guard Langston Love (So.) is out for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament and doubtful for the rest of the tournament if the Bears advance past 14-seed Colgate and the winner of 11-seed New Mexico versus 6-seed Clemson.
Love, who averages 11 points and 2.9 rebounds off the bench, has dealt with several different injuries during his time at Baylor. He played limited minutes down the stretch of last season after suffering an eye injury and has played in just two games since Feb. 10 after reaggravating his ankle injury in a loss to No. 25 BYU in Provo on Feb. 20. Prior to mid-February, he was the leading candidate for Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year.
Baylor will open the NCAA Tournament against 14-seed Colgate at 11:40 a.m. on Friday, March 22.
