Head coach Scott Drew announced on Wednesday that Baylor guard Langston Love (So.) is out for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament and doubtful for the rest of the tournament.
The Bears had locked up the number three seed in the Big 12 tournament before tip-off thanks to a loss by Kansas at Houston. However, the loss was a disappointing way to head into the postseason.
This game mattered for a host of reasons. First, it showed Baylor could beat a good team playing closer to B- basketball. There were good moments, but I didn’t feel like Baylor played close to its best basketball tonight. That’s a big win.
Langston Loved put the Bears on his back by racking up 24 points and seven rebounds after the Knights jumped out to an early 18-8 lead in the first five minutes.
The Baylor Men’s Basketball members Jayden Nunn and Langston Love, joined coach Scott Drew and special guest PJ Trojanowski in meeting with the media on Friday.
In the first Big 12 basketball matchup between the two schools, physicality was key. Every point in the paint was hard-earned and 39 total fouls were called, 24 of which were on BYU.
